MCHS Residential Christmas Wish List
Thank you for your interest in donating gifts this holiday season to the boys and young men who
reside at Methodist Children’s Home Society!
Part 1: Large/ Shared items
The items on the “Shared Items” list are given to the cottages to share. These items remain in
the cottages regardless of who comes and goes. This ensures that ten (10) boys will have access
to this one large gift.
Part 2: Gift Cards
Every year, each boy gets 2 gift cards for Christmas. To make things easier, we made a list of the
places where all the boys like to shop. Please consider giving a gift card because the boys love to
shop for themselves and their loved ones!
Part 3: Individual Lists
This lists the items that each individual child has asked for. The boys do not expect to receive
everything on their wish list. This is just to give you an idea of things that they might like.
Instructions:
Once you have decided on a boy’s wish list you would like to adopt, or if you would like to
purchase a large item, please let Hannah know by emailing her at [email protected] or calling
313-531-7462. If you have questions about the boy you adopt, you can view his profile on
www.mchsmi.org or call Hannah to learn about his story.
Please do not wrap your gifts so that we can ensure that the correct gifts get to the boys who
asked for them. You may drop your gifts off between 9am and 5pm at the MCHS donation
center in our administration building, located at 26645 W. Six Mile Rd. any day of the week
(Monday-Friday).
Friday, December 11 will be a special donation drop off day to celebrate your generosity and
recognize you. We will have extended hours until 7pm that day, and will have refreshments and
holiday music. Come drop off your gifts, get your picture taken, and let us celebrate you!
Part 1: Large/ Shared Items

Gift cards can range from $5- $25 and each boy receives 2 based on where they
want to go shopping.
