Thank you for wanting to make a difference in the lives of patients and families at Wolfson Children’s
Hospital. A gift of toys, games and other items of comfort can make a big difference to children and
families spending time in the hospital, and we accept them all year long. Patients and families are very
appreciative of all gifts and are touched by your generosity to help make the hospital stay more
enjoyable.
The next page provides a list of items that are most useful to patients. This is just to get you started…

Activity Kits: Bags filled with ready to make crafts (please include the supplies and directions) and fun
things to do such as coloring books, crayons, scissors, word search, maze and puzzle books, colored
pencils, glue sticks, paint, etc.
Charitable Banks: Paint DIY banks and fill each one with $5 in change. Banks are distributed to children
staying in the hospital allowing the child to purchase something from the Wolfie Wagon. Vendors such
as Oriental Trading Company carry various banks that can be decorated. The Wolfie Wagon visits patient
floors, which is a store on wheels. Money raised from the Wolfie Wagon comes directly back the
Auxiliary to help fund children’s projects.
Toiletry kits: Make our patients and families stay at the hospital more comfortable. Please provide
travel sizes only. Priority contents for toiletry kits include: Shampoo and conditioner, body wash,
deodorant, hair brush, lotion, razor and shaving cream, tooth brush and tooth paste, and feminine care
products.
Fleece Blankets: Bright and warm, Fleece Blankets are fun to make with a group who want to send a
reminder to a hospital room that someone cares. This project is a simple, inter-generational service
activity that will provide a large amount of comfort. No-sew fleece kits sold at craft stores are perfect
projects. DIY instructions can be found on Pinterest or YouTube.
