(Add # of Reps and Senators to get this #)
-Serve 4 year terms
-Can only be reelected ONCE!
-Must be a "Natural Born Citizen" at least 35 years old
(Two Presidents have been more than once before they changed the law)
Take the "Oath of Office" where they promise to DEFEND THE
CONSTITUTION!
Can be man or a woman! Constitution did not specify!

-Carry out laws passed by Congress
-Commander in Chief of military
-Make treaties (with approval of Senate) with
other nations
-Nominate ambassadors and Supreme Court

-Grant pardons to people who broke laws

If POTUS commits certain crimes they can be removed from
office
-H.O.R. decides whether or not to charge the POTUS
-Senate acts as the Jury
Two presidents have been impeached
Johnson and Clinton (Both found innocent Johnson by
ONLY 1 VOTE!). Nixon would have been impeached but
resigned before the H.O.R. could vote
(THEORETICAL CONSTITUTIONAL PROBLEM WITH
V.P.!!!!!!)
