• Collaborative teaching with Sr. Damien Savino of the Department of Environmental Science
and Studies (ESS). For the Semester of Spring 2013: THEO 3322 Theology of Creation, I will
give some lectures about the Literary narrative characteristics of the account of the creation
analyzing the Hebrew Text of the Leningrad Codex (Stugartensia). In this manner, it is possible
to discover the agrarian culture and the notions of nature of the author of the accounts and the
Sitz im Leben in which the texts were originated.
• Collaborative teaching venture was done in the course of Teachings of the Catholic Church
(THEO 1300/3300), imparted by Dirk Steffens M.Div. (adjunct). I gave some lectures regarding
the exegesis of the episode of the prayer at Gethsemane and its interpretation in the fathers, The
Council of Chalcedon and the formation of the dogma of the two natures and two wills of Christ
(Fall 2012).
• Collaborative teaching in the study abroad course, THEO 4393/CS 4393 Mapping the Holy
Land, is an interdisciplinary study of the Holy Land’s archeological, historical, cultural and
theological core. The course includes seven preparatory sessions, February through May,
followed by an intensive “walking classroom” each day in the Holy Land, May 22-June 1. I
taught one of the lectures: "the theological meaning of Jerusalem and the Temple". I served as
the chaplain and assistant professor to Sr. Miller during the trip to Jerusalem.

in the Catholic Church with Ms. Rebeca Torrellas the Texas catholic Herald, published in the
issue of 18th September 2012.
• Collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston: Dr. George Ramirez Manager of
Digital Media of the MFAH (www.mfah.org). The collaboration was the analysis and summary
of seven paintings of the artist Henry Ossawa Tanner under the aspect of Biblical theology, since
the author was a devout Christian and he found the inspiration for many of his paintings in the
biblical text. I presented the summary of the analysis that was accepted by the curators of the
Exhibition and it was audio recorded on Tuesday 23rd, 2012 at the MFAH. The Exhibition's title:
Henry Ossawa Tanner: Modern Spirit (Oct 21, 2012 - Jan 13, 2013).
• Participation as part of the team for the Freshman Symposium as a faculty Mentor, starting in
2013. The invitation was formally presented by Dr. Jo Meier-Marquis. For this reason I
participated as part of the Freshman Symposium in a professional development workshop to

• Collaboration in the TV special documentary entitled: Cazadores del Rebaño ¿A dónde se
están yendo los católicos? The documentary was presented in channel 41: Univision in Houston
hosted by the journalist Armanado Rojas. The documentary was presented on the 30th of March
(1st part) and the 1st of May (2nd part). I was interviewed as a representative of the archdiocese

• I conduct a radio program called : Paul's Journey of Faith in Radio Maria in English. It started
on January 19th 2013 lasted 4 months. It was one hour every Saturday from 2-3 pm (central
time). The program is a way of evangelization and education through the Scripture.
