Packaged with two stainless nuts and one stainless steel lock washer, the X-BT-ER can be used for electrical grounding such as bonding and lightning protection under corrosive environments. Single point connection Recommended electrical connectors: • • One nut with cable lug X-BT-ER W10/3 SN 4 X-BT-ER W6/7 SN 4 Maximum current (According to EN50164-1 and EN 50164-1/prA:2005): ≤ 50kA for 2ms When one nut is utilized and cable lug is in contact with base material: • • • • • Cable lug must be in direct contact with non-coated base material. Extra W10 SS washer to be used and installed between lock washer and cable lug. Base material must not contact the X-BT-ER SN washer, lock washer and nut. Cable lug thickness = 0.079" to 0.47" (2mm to 12mm). Cable lug hole diameter ≥ 0.51" (13mm). Max. tightening torque = 5.90 ft-lb (8Nm). Thickness of base material must be ≥ 5/16'' (8 mm), spacing of the fasteners must be ≥ 5/8'' (15 mm), edge distance of the fasteners must be ≥ 1/4'' (6 mm). Thickness of base material corrosion protection layer ≤ 0.0157'' (0.4 mm). For thicker coatings, please contact Hilti. 2. Install bottom nut followed by cable lug, lock washer and second nut. The bottom nut must not touch the X-BT SN washer. 3. For double point connection, the total thickness of cable lug tcl must be ≤ 0.28" (7mm) 4. For single point connection, the thickness of cable lug tcl must be ≤ 0.12" (3mm) 5. Hold the bottom nut with a spanner while tightening the upper nut.
