SEASONS GREETINGS
I wanted to introduce myself as a new staff member
at Fox Ridge. As the school social worker, I am a
member of the Student Services Team and provide
counseling and social-emotional education to students that demonstrate a need for support in these
areas. I also facilitate classroom groups, including the
Second Step Program. In addition, I link families
with community resources and various supports upon
request. I am in the building Tuesday-Thursday.
I wish you and yours a very merry holiday season
and a relaxing winter break!
As we approach the New Year, I encourage you to
help your child reflect on his/her accomplishments in
2013 and to set meaningful goals for the upcoming
year.

As most of you already
know, videogames are a
very popular item on many
holiday wish lists. I wanted
to take this opportunity to
remind and encourage you
to research games that your
child wishes to play. Like
movies, video games are
labeled with a rating to
specify the appropriate
audience. For your child’s
safety, it is imperative that
you assist him or her in regulating the content he/she is
exposed to. Please take the
time to review the rating
category, content descriptors, and interactive
elements to ensure games
are appropriate for your
child. It is also important to
be mindful of games played
in your home in the presence of younger children.
