NOTES: Rugged terrain that may be difficult to navigate during inclement weather. These roads are dirt and gravel and are windy, narrow and slick when wet. There is no winter maintenance. No service stations or rest areas after Ansonia. One of our most popular requests for driving tours is to drive the length of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The tour below journeys from Wellsboro to the West Rim of the Canyon and follows the rim southward ending in Cedar Run, a village located along the bottom of the Canyon. Please be cautious, drive slowly to enjoy the many scenic vistas along the way, and pay attention to signs and landmarks as it is very easy to stray from the course. And although it is very tempting to stop in the middle of the road to enjoy the scenery or spot wildlife, remember, this is a public road and is traveled on a regular basis by other vehicles including log trucks that carry forest products to be processed into consumer goods. As a courtesy, pull to the side of the road and allow the log truck to pass. Enjoy your trip! Set your odometer to zero, as your mileage markers will be comprehensive in reference to your starting point.
