Lake Superior School District is Minnesota’s second largest school
district geographically, encompassing 2,600 square miles of
Northeastern Minnesota. The district includes all of Lake County
and six townships in St. Louis County. The area is rich in history
and natural beauty and it is an outdoor-lovers paradise. Many
outdoor activities can be enjoyed year round. From camping and
hiking to hockey and skiing, the North Shore offers it all. State
Parks, National and State Forests and many four-season trails are
located on or near the largest freshwater lake in the world.
