They will not advance to the finals, but they did score in the top 50,000 students, out of 1.5 million who took the test, so the top 3.3%. Way to go!! What’s Tweeting….. COC Conference Champs!! Both Girls Tennis and Softball have clinched the COC Conference Championship!! The Ozark High School Math Team competed in a Great Plains Math League competition on Saturday, September 27. We brought 7 students total. They all did a great job and represented Ozark well. Tucker Jennings qualified for state with 3rd in the Target round and 5th in the Sprint. Adam Bateman placed 5th in the Target round. Jaron Carvel took 6th in the individual round. 1st Annual Pride of the Ozarks Band Competition Huge Success! Ozark hosted the 1st Annual Pride of the Ozarks Band Competition on Saturday, September 27. Ozark competed as an Exhibition Band since they were hosting. The event earned more than $20,000 for the High School Band Booster Club. The Band also wants to thank everyone who helped make the event such a huge success!! On Saturday, October 4 the Band competed at the Valhalla Marching Festival where they earned Grand Champion, Outstanding Music and Visual Performance and Outstanding Percussion. Congratulations to the Ozark FFA Horse Judging Team. The team competed at the Tulsa State Fair against 40 other schools from Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Ozark finished 6th in halter horses, 1st in performance horses and 5th overall. Baily Summers finished 3rd in performance horses and Tanner Robertson placed 4th in performance horses and 6th overall. Team members include Savannah Hampton, Kristan Hamilton, Cheyenne Detherow, Baily Summers and Tanner Robertson. 2014 BASS Pro Air Rifle Classic We had close to 100 shooters (22 Teams) from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and South Dakota here at Ozark High to compete in the 2014 BASS Pro Air Rifle Classic October 3 & 4.
