Makes about 4 dozen cookies using 2 - 3” cookie cutters.
Combine and Blend until
smooth and fluffy
¾ C Butter
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
Stir In
2 ½ C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
Remove from mixing bowl, wrap in plastic wrap, and
chill for at least 1 hour.
Roll and Cut with smaller sized Christmas cookie cutters.
*Thin for crispy cookies, thick for softer firm cookies*
Bake at 400 degrees for 6 – 8 minutes
Note: 6 minutes is my recommended baking time.
Cool and frost
ICING Recipe
¼ C Milk
1/3 C Softened butter
3 C Powdered Sugars (Approximately a 1 lb box)
Be sure to let icing set/dry/harden before you pack the cookies, otherwise
the frosting sticks to the wax paper or foil and we cannot use the cookies.
Setting time is usually 2 to 3 hours.
BAKING HINT!
Gray baking sheets are suggested for less browning around the edges of
the cookies.
Brown baking sheets are guaranteed to brown the cookies.
