MNC MONTHLY NEWSLETTER! NOVEMBER 2013 Madison Newcomers Club ! From the President - Eileen Moulin! November is here! Thanksgiving month! Can I just say it? I’m thankful for Newcomers Club! This group has pulled me into the Madison community and introduced me to wonderful people and places. Just in the month of October, I met several people through Newcomers, spent an evening at a really neat and up-coming shop (J. Horton, October General Meeting), heard parenting advice from caring community leaders, David Melillo of Madison Youth Sevices and our own Debbie Crocker, psychologist (at our meeting), donated to an early intervention program, Kidsteps (also at our meeting), helped out at the Bauer Park Festival with face and pumpkin painting, ran in the Cove 5K with other Newcomers, and tried my very first martini! So many experiences! If you want to know the truth, I feel kind of bad for people who have lived here their whole lives since they haven’t had a chance to be a part of our group! (FYI--if you are a native Madisonite sneaking into our group, I don’t blame you! And I won’t rat you out either!) November promises to be another fun month— just check out all the activities we have listed in this newsletter! This month’s newsletter also features MNC History, so take a look. And keep your eye out for Facebook posts, Evites, and emails. Stay connected! And THANK YOU for being a part of Newcomers! Oh, and one more thing—please remember to make your membership official by turning in your membership form and yearly dues if you haven’t done so already. Thanks! Board Members ! Eileen Moulin, !
