Oil drilling rigs are liable to be encountered anywhere in the approaches to Cromarty Firth. Anchors,
buoys, small craft and ancillary plant may be encountered up to 900m from moored rigs. Yachtsmen are
advised to give rigs a wide berth and navigate with caution in the area.

Construction works on the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm are now underway.
