Developed and delivered sophisticated methods for supporting colleagues in understanding the wide range of potential societal impacts and helping them embed translation into good research practice. Contributed to capacity building by creating and implementing support mechanisms for sharing good practice across their organisation and beyond, being recognised as a sector expert in impact-related matters. NOMINATION GUIDELINES The Awards will follow a 2-stage judging process, whereby initial nominations are invited but with a limited word count. These are reviewed and sifted against the agreed general criteria, with the strongest nominations invited to submit a more detailed application at Stage 2. In no more than 1,000 words briefly explain how the initiative addressed a specific need or challenge and describe why the initiative is innovative, outlining the technologies and approaches used. “Technologies” can include any combination of hardware and/or application software, system software or development software. If there has been shared collaborative ownership of the initiative, provide examples. Judges will particularly look for an initiative that has transferability or addresses emerging challenges and opportunities and therefore has potential wider benefits if adopted elsewhere. They will also look for effective use of practices learned or adopted from sectors outside research. Stage 1 nominations are to be submitted directly to [email protected] using the nomination form and should be accompanied by a supporting statement of no longer than 1,000 words, outlining how the nominee meets the general criteria for the Award. The deadline for the submission of Stage 1 nominations is Friday 20 February at 5pm.
