TRICHLORAMINE,about what is it?
Trichloramine belongs to the Chloramine
family and is developing during the
combination of chlorine products used for
disinfection of water and nitrogen
pollution made by organic derivatives
(sweat, saliva, urine, bacteria, sun cream,
animal or plant debris, sap...)
Trichloramine is a highly volatile
substance, irritating for breathing system,
eyes and skin.
IMPACTS:
Today, diseases due to Trichloramine are
recognized as professional diseases in
“Professional Asthmas and Rhinitis” category (French decree 2003-110 of the
11/02/2003).
Regulations requirement:
-> An obligation of analysis for UV dechloramination (French decree : EA4
2008-65 of the 22/02/08)
-> Prevention and professional risk analysis according to the Frenc h working
regulations
Regulation under development:
A new standard, enlarged to all swimming pool, requiring more freque nt
testing of Trichloramine.

How to anticipate the pollution risks?
In order to prevent any risk of diseases related to the rate of trichloramine on
the air, it is necessary to measure the concentration regularly.
This measure permits to quantify the staffs and users exposures and to plan
correctives actions.
To ensure prevention and to comply with current and future legislation, we
propose to you a portable analysis system.
Today, INRS* institute recommends a comfort level below 0,5mg/m3.
Its use is simple and fast:
