Ant vs. Man: Persuasive Writing
Now that we have read Old Major’s speech, you will be
writing your own persuasive speech.
Scenario: You are an ant in charge of an ant colony. You have
witnessed billions of your comrades die at the hands of humans.
Your task:
Write a speech persuading your comrades to revolt against Man
Explain what this is doing to you and your comrade’s families.
Explain what this is doing to your workforce.
Explain what this is doing to your comrade’s morale.
Explain why ants are an important part of society.
o Much like Animal Farm, you must give your ants human like
qualities (thoughts, feelings, emotions).
Ethos, Pathos, and Logos are required in your speech! Use your
Cornell notes as a reference.
Speech must be typed or written in pen.
Speech is due Wednesday!
Length Requirement= 1-2 typed pages.
12pt Times New Roman font.
