WHEREAS,
a dependable telepllone system is a prerequisite to
an improved economyi and
the telephone system on Guam requires substantial
repair and replacement to provide much needed telephone service;

the Guam Telephone Authority has received a loan
commitnent fro:n the Rural El-ectri f i g3+-i 6p Adnr-inist-rati.on (R.EA),
for an amount not to exceed T\nrenty-Two Million Dollars

WHEREAS,
a prerequisite to the first advance of funds is
evidence that the Guam Te.lephone Authority has marketable title
to its existing real estate; and
WHEREAS, dt the present time, the Guam Telephone Authority
is using government of Guam land in,certain locations;

IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE TERRITORY OF GUAM:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law, rule or
reguJ-ation to the contrary, the Governor of Guam is hereby
authorized to convey to the Guam Telephone Aut.hority' at One
Dollar ($1.00) consideration, the herein listed government of
Guam land, to be used by the Guam Telephone Authority for

section 2. The lots to be conveyed by sect.ion I of this
Act are as follows:
I. Lot No. I-1, Block 30r. Municipality of Agana'
containiug an area of 1r375 square meters.
2. Lot No. 5120-4 NEI{, Flunicipality of Deded.o'
containing an area of 27,432 square meters.
3. Lot No. 10063,. Municipality of Dededo, containing
an area of 21856.93 square meters.
4. Lot No . 443 Part I-3, Munici-pality of Agat'
containing an area of Ir310 square meters,
reference: LM-84-62T267.
5. Lot No. 700 4-6'L, ttunicipality of Yigo, containing
an area of i-r57g.37 square meters.
6. Lot No. 1109-2, Municipality of Barrigada'
containiqg an area of 11500 square meters.
Section 3. Any land transferred under the provisions of
this Act sha1l. :r:errert- to the government of Guam when and if
said land ceases to be used for the purpose of telephone

operations.
Section 4. This Act shall be effective immediately
