Life long memories and skills will be created and built through activities such as sports, swimming, art, cooking, science, special events, field trips and creative play. Through our planned activities , we strive to develop positive social interaction and development. Our Camp truly focus on the motto that Parks Make Life Better. Through training and development of our camp counselors and Directors are dedicated and committed to providing the ultimate camp experience through interaction, mentoring, and motivation, inspiring the campers to truly be immersed in the Fun Chaser style . Our staff has been fingerprinted, CPR , First Aid and AED certified, American Camp Association (ACA) trained, and extensively trained through the City of Los Angeles. These requisites allows our staff to provide, not only a safe, but innovative, unique and upbeat environment. Additionally, Camp Fun Chasers is an American Camp Association accredited camp. All of Camp Fun Chaser’s activities, with the exception of field trips, will occur at the Echo Park Recreation Center, Youth Center, Community Center, Lake and Echo Park Pool. Camp Fun Chasers offers a wide variety of camps for all ages. We believe in a positive social environment through physical activity, creativity, and community. Our camp program is designed with the camper’s wellbeing in mind. CAMP TINY CHASERS (Ages 2.5 –5yrs) $60.00 per week* This is the ideal camp for children who haven’t yet entered elementary school. Letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and more will be taught in a safe and engaging environment using activities such as crafts, songs, games, and other enrichment activities/special events, and theme days. Campers must be potty trained. Early Bird Price is $50 per week ** Due to age requirements from our Aquatics Division, Pre-School camp does not go swimming. Pre-School Camp does not attend Field Trips** CAMP FUN CHASERS (Age 6-12yrs) $130.00 per week* Camp Fun Chasers offers a wide variety of activities for your child - every day will be a new adventure! Swimming, arts and crafts, skits, songs, field games, team building, special events and field trips are just some of the many activities we will offer. Skills such as friendship, cooperation, and teamwork will be emphasized. Early Bird Price is $115 per week excluding Disneyland *Disneyland week is at $205.00 ** Due to age requirements from our Aquatics Division, campers who are 6years of age are not permitted to go swimming. This includes those who know how to swim** CAMP LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (Age 13-15yrs) $65.00 per week * This program is designed to mentor our teens to develop leadership skills. Whether it is working with our younger campers or creating special events, our teens will receive skills and experience that will aid them in the job force. Once a week our C.L.P.s get to experience events and programs directed for them. Early Bird Price is $50 per week excluding Disneyland *Disneyland week is at $140.00. CAMP HOURS: Camp Tiny Chasers: 8:00 am - 12:00pm Camp Fun Chasers: 7:00am - 6:00pm A registration form, health card and parent oath of conduct required to complete registration. All campers must be signed in and out every day by a person listed on their registration form. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like your child to sign themselves in or out. All early pickups must go to the office. If picking up prior to 3:30pm, parents or guardians must complete an “Early Release Form” at the time of pick up. This form must be signed by office staff and presented to your child’s counselor at the time of pick up. Campers must wear closed toed shoes—no “wheelies” allowed—tennis shoes only. Children should wear comfortable clothes. Please have your child bring his/her lunch every day. We do not have the ability to make lunches for children who forget theirs. Campers must leave all electronics, cell phones, and toys at home. If a camper is discovered with one it will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day. Please label all clothes, jackets, backpacks, and Registration Begins March 20, 2017 and will continue until camp is filled. Enrollment is limited and registration applications will be processed in the order received. Camper must meet the age requirement by June 11, 2017. You are considered registered for a week of camp once we receive payment in full for that specific week. A one-time non-refundable registration fee of $30 is required for all campers. Field Trip to Disneyland are an additional $80.00 each. This fee may be waived if your child uses their season pass to enter Disneyland and/or Universal Studios. We are not responsible for lost or stolen passes. Campers who require a one-on-one aide must provide their own assistants and pay $30.00 for each field trip they will attend in addition to the child’s regular tuition. All assistants MUST be fingerprinted and cleared through our Department prior to working. Clearance can take between 6-8 weeks so please plan accordingly. Please see office for details. You may not use the Payment Plan for Early Bird Registration. Only registering during the Early Bird Registration time frame will give you that price. After April 22, 2017, registering for any weeks will be at full price, even though you may have earlier paid the Early Bird rate earlier. Teams will be created based on camper’s age on June 1st, 2017. Requests will only be considered if indicated on the registration form. Please write all request, on the form. Requests are not guaranteed. PAYMENT PLAN OPPERTUNITY A Payment Plan Opportunity is available for those who are not participating in any financial assistance or the Early Bird Registration. Participants must be enrolled for 5 weeks or more in camp. Camp deposits of $30 are required to hold your child’s space in camp. Deposits are non-refundable. Total due must be paid according to contract. If the remainder is not paid, your child is not enrolled for that week and is open to another participant. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS Due to prior scheduling of staff, busses, trip reservations, pre-purchase of tickets and the inability to replace your child’s space on the days they are absent, NO REFUNDS, MAKE UP DAYS OR TRANSFERS of money, including those related to illness or medical reasons will be given for any day including trip days. NO REFUNDS for suspensions or expulsions. All request for refunds must be done in writing using the Refund Request Form and turned into the office. Cancellations prior to June 1st are subject to a 15% administration fee. NO REFUNDS once a camp session begins. Camp Fun Chasers does not offer pro-rating for missed days of camp. Registration Changes/transfers will be subject to a $20 administration fee. Absolutely no changes once a session has begun. FULL REFUNDS will only be issued if the activity is cancelled by the Echo Park Recreation Complex. Campers must wear their Camp Fun Chasers shirt to ALL field trips. Those who forget theirs will be provided with one at the charge of $10 to the guardian upon pick-up. Bus Leaves on time. Please check schedule. We do not provide programs on site on trip days. This is a field t rip day only. Make sure your child does not miss the bus. No refunds for no shows on trip days. All children must ride the chartered bus to and from the trip destination. No Exceptions. Parents, relatives, or friends are not permitted on the field trips. Parents will receive a full schedule the first day of a session. It is the parents’ responsibility to read and follow any information given out each week regarding camp. Flyers are sent home the Thursday prior to the Field Trip. Make sure you receive this flyer from your child and/or your camp counselor as information such as drop off and pick times, spending money and attire will be stated on those flyers. ***Due to occasional changes in availability, field trip dates and/or locations are subject to change. On the rare occasion that a field trip must change, it will be substituted for one of approximately the same value.
