August 5, 2014

Meeting called to order at 7:09 pm

Old Business
Pastor Report- Fr. Mike:

Census and picture directory occurring simutaniously, group making
phone calls to follow up with members who have not responded.
St. Pat's school sold at asking price. Will let parish know in bulletin.
Money will be used for?? Options are: repave parking lot, caulk expansion
joints, church roof repairs. Building and grounds committee trying to
decide which repairs to make. Gym roof has been done.
Year of stewardship handout best describes what goes on in parish and all
we do. Funding mission, this is what our mission is. See attached handout.
Stewardship- Reviewed the report from Barb Vite –discussion included:
Taught a lot about stewardship just by the questions asked. Realized there
is a lot to know.
Stewardship is what I do after I say I believe. Define stewardship for our
parish. When do we kick off this campaign? Make this a year of
stewardship to teach everyone about it
Need to work on bringing more people to the TTT committee. ask
committee what would there dream team look like.
Fr. Mike can do an annual pastoral report, see handout named
Parish:Status Animarum.

Synod timeline: Bishop will release plan in September. Read over plan to provide
a response. Results being published bulletin.

Associate Priest update- energized and ready to go Fr. Erick will be full time
starting August 15th, currently in education with diocese,

Annual Pastoral and Finance meeting in September- committee night September
9, 2014 @ 7 pm in Mission Hall, use this meeting in the future to name priorities.
Action Item: Council members help communicate this meeting to everyone.

Upcoming Vision 2020 meetings- Local pastors are working with diocese to
figure out how to make a plan. Could be sharing both pastors with other parishes.
Possible council retreat at the end of September, Joesph will look into dates for
this.
