BRAZEAU COUNTY BYLAW NO. 864-15 BEING A BYLAW OF BRAZEAU COUNTY, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, TO PROVIDE FOR A MODIFIED VOTING SYSTEM FOR THE 2015 BY-ELECTION (REEVE) WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Authorities Election Act, being Chapter L-21 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000 and amendments thereto, the returning officer shall designate the location of one voting station only for each voting subdivision; WHEREAS, the Local Authorities Election Act, being Chapter L-21 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000 and amendments thereto, allows the elected authority, on application to the relevant Minister, to pass a bylaw to permit the designation of additional voting stations that may be required for the 2013 general election; WHEREAS, the Minister of Municipal Affairs, granted Ministerial Order No. MSL:031/15, for the purpose of conducting the 2015 by-election (Reeve) in Brazeau County, authorizing the elected authority to pass a bylaw authorizing the designation of additional voting stations as may be required for the 2015 by-election (Reeve). NOW THEREFORE, The Council of Brazeau County, duly assembled, enacts as follows: Voting Stations The Returning Officer for Brazeau County is authorized to designate more than one voting station for each voting subdivision as may be required for the 2015 by-election (Reeve). This bylaw shall take effect upon the final passing thereof. READ a first time this 11'*^ day of March, 2015. READ a second time this 11^^ day of March, 2015.
