We Appreciate
Erin Trivers
This month we
would like to appreciate
Erin
Trivers.
Erin
was the credit instructor here at
Thessalon
Continuing
Education from September until January. Erin is now teaching at Superior Heights. We cannot
thank her enough for all of the hard
work and passion she put into creating
such a functional classroom and learning environment.
Erin is greatly
missed here in the classroom but we
wish her well at her new job. Beyond
everything she has taught her students
over the past months we have all
learned to “save a tree”.

Helpful Hints
Olympic Results
Sandra Fiddler
1. This is a great tip to keep your oil-based
salad dressings from pooling at the bottom of the bowl and keeping it on your
greens. Take your dressing and heat it
in the microwave for ten seconds.
2. For soup and stews, add raw cut potatoes and discard once they have cooked
and absorbed the salt.
3. When pan frying or sautéing, always
heat your pan before adding the butter
or oil. Not even eggs stick when you use
this great tip! Another good tip to keep
hot oil from splattering is to sprinkle a
little salt in the pan before frying.
4. Sprinkle with dry powdered milk for the
fluffiest mashed potatoes every!
