Walking into school today, I had a funny feeling.
There is an unusual smell in the room,
and there are footprints on the ceiling.
I shuffled slowly into class and settled myself on the chair.
Then the most alarming things I've ever seen came leaping through the air.
It has two heads and two tails, I have never seen such a sight.
Cameron and Mason “is that you?” You have given me a fright.
But wait a minute! I thought to myself, these two can‟t fool me!
You have stuck tails on yourselves, turn around and let me see.
Miss Elms are you feeling ok? You know that monkeys have tails.
I scratch my head and stare at them, then I hear an almighty wail.
It's Keira and Caitlin swinging around, on the windows chairs and the door.
I am seeing things I think to myself, two more monkeys I think I saw!
It's getting odder as Ruby and Reagan are the next two monkeys to be seen.
You‟re full of bark, dirt and leaves. Where on earth have you two been?
What do you mean Miss Elms? Are you ok? Your acting very strange!
This is how we dress for school, and you've never asked us to change!
Dress for school in monkey suits, I doubt I would stand for that.
The rest come in, swinging and jumping and …. finally they sat.
The class are monkeys! What's gone on! I'm sure yesterday they were fine.
Now Joe, Joe and Jamie are eating nuts, this class cannot be mine!
Liam and Sam are looking at me as they are picking each other flees.
And Molly, Paris and Azra shouting “ooh aah aah you know we're chimpanzees”
“Charlie and Louie are helping me‟‟ says Miss Robinson.
“I‟ll have them back to you very soon.”
Ellis asks me why I am looking at her strange,
I replied “how long as she been a baboon?”
I run to the bathroom as fast as I can, I need to see a mirror.
Now this is impossible, I am frozen with shock. I have turned into a gorilla!
I look down at my muscular chest, it's like a suit of armour.
Then a sudden thought sweeps through my mind …I sure could eat a banana!
I've had enough of this crazy place, so I decide I am making an escape.
But as I run I bang into Miss Duffield, and she is also an ape.
I take a deep breath and go back to class, now where are those chimpanzees?
I peer out the classroom window, and they are swinging from the trees.
All accept Alicia and Lydia, who are tying each other‟s ribbons.
With Miss Hosgood and Miss Rowan, who appear to be hairy gibbons.
Then Toby went zooming passed shouting loudly as he ran.
Matt said “Miss! did you know ? He called you an orangutan!”
“I wouldn„t worry” I replied, with my huge gorilla smile.
“There are lots of monkeys in this place, including Gracie and Kyle.”
The next thing I know I am sat up in bed, and I begin to scream.
Calm yourself down I think to myself, it was all a scary dream !
I had a thought on my way to school, while driving in my car.
Although my dream was pretty cool, you are all perfect as you are.
