“As a corporate citizen here in Hong Kong with our corporate root in Japan, we were
touched by the outpouring of sympathy and support from all our partners, customers
and Hong Kong people. In addition, I would like to thank every Kitchee staff and
players for his or her effort to make their 80th anniversary celebration into a show of
support to the victims of the Japan disaster in such a time of immense suffering.”
The event also enjoyed the support of all existing Kitchee sponsors. Mr. Stuart Fraser,
CEO of Ageas Insurance Company (Asia) Limited, who also serves as a member of
the Executive Committee of Kitchee Foundation Limited, commented, “Kitchee has
always taken pride in serving our community, and our motto is ‘Changing Lives
through Football’. For the last 3 years, Ageas has been the proud Presenting Sponsor
of Kitchee’s FCBEscola Hong Kong program. Through this additional sponsorship as

mobilize the citizens of Hong Kong, regardless of their nationality and origin, to do
whatever they can to lend a hand to those who suffered such catastrophe.”
Mr. Fraser also disclosed that there is a plan to establish a Centre of Competence for
Barça Football in Hong Kong. A secondary event of a casual evening will be held on
Wednesday, 25 May, 2011, to raise money for the FCBEscola Hong Kong Building
Funds for the establishment of the football training centre. The party will provide an
opportunity for guests and Villarreal players to mix in an evening of cocktails, dinner,
and rounds of in-door golf, followed by a fund-raising auction of football
memorabilia and souvenirs such as items from Spanish, Barça and Villarreal players.
