43EU
THE HERITAGE SERIES
OVERVIEW OF THE 43 HERITAGE EU
A larger cockpit, bigger staterooms and a second head are just some of the new features you’ll find aboard this successor of our acclaimed
41EU - the Grand Banks which revolutionized the modern trawler motoryacht for owners around the world. With precision joystick control,
top speeds over 23 knots and solid fuel economy for displacement-speed cruising, the new 43EU offers greater space, better performance
and more miles of on-the-water enjoyment than any yacht in her class.

FEATURES OF THE 43 HERITAGE EU
ZEUS POD PROPULSION
Powered by the Zeus propulsion system, the 43EU delivers unparalleled control, speed
and efficiency. Dock with pinpoint accuracy; hold a rock-steady position in wind and
current; travel faster and farther while using less fuel. All thanks to the Zeus pods—a pair
of independently-steerable pods mounted to the hull in tunnels, each with counter-rotating
propellers—connected to joystick controls at both the lower and flybridge helm stations.
FEATURES OF ZEUS PODS
With twin 480-mhp diesel engines coupled to the Zeus pods, the 43EU can
move you swiftly at top speeds to 24 knots and beyond. At the same time,
she can cruise leisurely with exceptional fuel economy at slower speeds. The
location of the Zeus pods also frees up room for a spacious storage area
that can be equipped with extra refrigeration and/or a washer/dryer. The
beautiful 43EU offers greater space, better performance and more miles of
on-the-water enjoyment than any yacht in her class.
SKYHOOK™ STATION-KEEPING \ With this optional feature, you can step away
from the helm to set lines and fenders, while the GPS-based system directs each
pod drive automatically to swivel and thrust as needed to hold your position.

43 HERITAGE EU FEATURES
Master Stateroom: The 43EU’s master cabin features an island
queen berth with convenient underberth storage, as well as a
hnaging locker for additional storage. With the addition of a second guest
head, the master now has its own private en-suite head.
Larger Cockpit: The cockpit of the 43EU is 30% larger than
the earlier 41EU model. A built-in transom shower offers hot and
cold water from its retractable hose, while the built-in staircase up to the
flybridge features an integrated, vented locker.
Two-Head Layout: New on board the 43EU, each generous
cabin now comes with its own en-suite head - an incredible feature
for a vessel this size. The master head features a separate standing shower
with seat, while the guest “wet” head also offers guests access through a
second door to the companionway.
New Hull-Side Windows: New in the 43EU, oversized windows
in both the port and starboard hull sides let in more light and
beautiful views to the lower deck. The hatch atop the master stateroom is
also large - a big and beefy Mainship hatch that opens wide and secures
tightly to keep out water.
43 HERITAGE EU FEATURES
More Fuel Capacity: The 43EU features larger fuel tanks with 20%
more capacity - now 600 gallons / 2,271 liters - for greater cruising
range. In addition, the 43EU tanks are constructed from cross-linked
polyethylene, which is virtually corrosion proof and structurally superior.
Our tanks are also roto-molded, which makes them seamless and thus
virtually leak-proof as well.
Utility & Storage Room: One of the most practical luxuries on
board is the large utility room, easily accessed through a large gasassist hatch in the salon floor. Access ladder folds away to create a wide-open
area for added storage, tool room, fishing gear, pantry, laundry or any other
purpose that suits your cruising needs. Select the “Cruising Package” to add
an optional freezer, washer/dryer and added storage.
43 HERITAGE EU FEATURES
Spacious Flybridge: A large L-settee surrounds the custom teak
table, with a second settee to port. Centerline helm features
an attractive high-gloss finished teak sun hood, plus a custom Perspex
windshield, to protect your eyes and instruments from glare. Plenty of space
for optional helm seats to port and starboard. The sizeable flybridge deck
offers lots of room for a tender and the optional 800-pound-capacity davit.
Foredeck Seating: Padded seats built into the forward cabin offer
a delightful spot to relax with sunset views. Nearby, the stainless
steel anchor platform includes twin bow rollers, with built-in snubber
base. Maxwell windlass features chain and rope gypsies, and bow storage
accommodates 300 feet of 3/8-inch chain.
43 HERITAGE EU FEATURES
Abundant Amenities: Some of the many available options include
underwater lights, teak side and foredecks, automatic passerelle, a wetbar
and grill for the flybridge, electronics packages from Raymarine or Garmin, full
canvas package and much more.
Gourmet Galley: Plenty of built-in storage for plates, flatware, serving
ware, wine and bar glasses make for a delightfully efficient and pleasing
galley. The smart design is complemented by stainless steel sinks, teak paneling,
quality appliances and additional storage options.
Safety at Sea: Wide side decks, smartly-placed grab rails, standard
Lifeboy fire systems, strong hand and safety rails – plus dozens of other
specialized design features and equipment inside and out – make each Grand
Banks a superior choice for safety.
En-Suite Head: Generous master head is accessed exclusively from the
stateroom. Fully enclosed glass-walled shower gives at-home comfort.
Stunning Woodwork: Teak logs are hand-selected by our own buyer
to ensure access to the finest wood; each timber individually graded
by our knowledgeable experts. The result is a level of finish and quality that is
unequalled in its class.

successful cruising yacht designs ever built - one that Grand Banks continues to refine and enhance for a new generation of owners. Today’s
Heritage models, both the classic tri-cabin “CL” and the extended-salon “EU” versions, distinguish themselves as much for their speed and
performance as their timeless lines and legendary reliability. Step aboard, open the throttles, and you’ll sense how the Heritage Series remains
at once an icon and an innovation - spirited and sophisticated, inspiring and exhilerating.

BECAUSE THE SEA IS NO PLACE FOR COMPROMISE
O
wners describe the sensation at the helm of a 43 Heritage EU
as stable, steady and supremely responsive. Passing 20 knots
on a plane with a pair of standard 480-hp diesels on board, the
ride is remarkable: quiet, comfortable, and agile at a touch of the wheel.
Many subtle design features contribute to the low trim angle and great
visibility, from the distribution of weight to the specialized geometry of the
propeller tunnels. The dual-chine hull gets you swiftly up on plane, and
along with the flared bow helps keep things dry on deck. Moving aft, the
upper chine widens to provide for a spacious interior while adding stability.
A modest keel keeps her solidly on track while offering added protection
for the pods below.
Construction follows a time-tested process that is renowned for producing
seaworthy, long-lasting boats. The highest quality fiberglass fabrics are
expertly hand laid and laminated with resins selected for their ability to
resist blistering. The 47 Heritage is solid fiberglass below the waterline, with
topsides cored with Airex cross-linked closed-cell foam to prevent water
intrusion. The hull bottom receives three layers of epoxy barrier coat, which
dramatically reduces the chance of osmosis. A close look at any Grand
Banks hull will reveal a beautiful, mirror-like gel coat finish that is built to
look new for many years to come.
