Optional Floor Box Step 3: Remove rail, top brace, and post boxes and set close to assembly site. Step 4: Remove lid of roof box. Step 5: Remove hardware box from roof box. © HomePlace Structures Page 1 Optional Floor Assembly Step 6: Layout floor sections as shown. Step 7: Match numbers in successive order for proper floor placement. Step 8: Remove all floor boards fastened with only one screw (Second board from outside, first board from center). © HomePlace Structures Tip: To stay organized, place floor boards behind opening. It is important to place the floor boards back in the original space. page 2 Step 9: When bolting floor sections together, align outside corners and top of floor boards using pry bar if necessary. Step 10: Bolt floor joists together using 9/16” socket wrench. Make sure floor boards are flush prior to tightening bolts. Door Step 11: Replace floor boards and fasten with 21/2” screws. Note: Align floor boards properly. Step 12: Install center floor boards as shown facing door. page 3 © HomePlace Structures Post & Bottom Rail Assembly Note: When installing posts, place angle at top of post towards outside of gazebo to align with roof angle. Doorway Step 13: Remove first of two door posts from post box and place at doorway location. Step 14: Slide railing over blocks on post. Step 15: Fasten sections with 1” railing screws at top and bottom in pre-drilled holes on outside and inside of railing. Note: Make sure railing section is tight against post before fastening. Continue previous steps around entire gazebo to opposite side of door. © HomePlace Structures Page 4 Top Brace Assembly Step 16: Remove top brace section from box and slide onto post as shown. Step 17: Fasten brace section to post using 2-1/2” white screws in pre-drilled holes on both sides. © HomePlace Structures Note: Center brace section on post as shown. page 5 Roof Assembly Step 19: Assemble PVC roof prop. See assembly instructions at back of manual. Step 20: Place ladder and roof prop in center of gazebo. Step 21: Remove roof section from box and install, sliding rafters inside insert at top of post. Step 21: Use PVC roof prop at center of gazebo to hold up roof section tempo- Step 18: Prepare long and short roof bolts as shown. Step 22: Slide long bolts through holes to hold bottom of roof section in place. Step 23: Pull bottom bolt out half way to make room for next roof section. © HomePlace Structures Step 24: Install next roof section repeating previous steps. page 6 Step 25: Align outside corners evenly. Step 26: Fasten bottom bolts Step 20: Insert short bolts by hand (do not use tools) in rafters and repeat previusing acorn nut and washer. ous step. Step 21: Install remaining roof sections repeating previous steps. Note: If you are having trouble aligning bolts with holes you can adjust the gazebo by pushing up at center of gazebo or at bottom of roof. Step 22: After all sections are installed, align outside corners (see step 18) and fasten tightly using tools, beginning with bottom bolts. Step 23: Align all posts onto center of floor splice and fasten to floor using 2-1/2” White screws. Note: If you have purchased a screen kit it is important that door opening is the same at top and bottom. © HomePlace Structures page 7 Roof Bracket Installation Step 24: Align center of roof bracket above rafters and bottom edge of roof bracket with bottom of roof edge and fasten to roof using nails included in package. Install roof capping over roof bracket as shown. Note: It is important to align bracket properly and drive a nail into each hole. © HomePlace Structures page 8 Note: It is easier to shingle roof sections prior to installing roof. Install shingles per manufacturers recommendations. Step 24: Install roof capping as shown. Step 25: If your gazebo did not include shingles, and you didn’t install shingles prior to assembling roof, install capping strips as shown. If you are installing your gazebo on a concrete surface (including brick pavers, etc), install concrete screws as shown. A hammer drill works best for this application. Note: Align and straighten all posts prior to fastening posts to surface. © HomePlace Structures Install flower boxes where desired using 2 screws. Install hooks where desired using directions on back of package. Congratulations! Your Gazebo is now complete. © HomePlace Structures PVC Roof Support Assembly Assemble PVC roof support as shown by inserting smaller pipes into larger pipes, aligning pre-drilled holes, inserting bolts in holes, and securing with nuts. Insert top of pole inside first roof section to prop up up roof section. © HomePlace Structures Optional Cupola Assembly This optional Vinyl Cupola will fit any HomePlace Structures octagon gazebo. It will fit on many other gazebos and other outdoor structures as well. If you have ordered both a gazebo and a cupola, the gazebo may be shipped separate from the cupola. The gazebo and the cupola will most likely arrive on separate dates. Step 1: Remove Cupola from box. Note: The metal edges may be sharp. Handle carefully. Step 3: Metal roof can remain as is, or you can apply shingles directly on top of the metal to match the shingles on your gazebo. Step 2: Insert Vinyl finial in top hole and press down firmly. Step 4: Place Cupola on top of roof - make sure cupola is straight and plumb on every side. © HomePlace Structures Step 5: Fasten the Cupola with white screws on 4 sides of the Cupola, installing the screws on an angle, one inch from the bottom, directly through the side of the cupola. Care and Cleaning Information This maintenance free Vinyl gazebo is made of the finest materials available. To keep your unit looking fresh and new, clean as needed. Cleaning the Posts & Rails: HomePlace Structures recommends the “Mr. Clean Magic Eraser” by Proctor & Gamble to clean the gazebo. You can also wash the gazebo with warm soapy water to remove dirt and grime. © HomePlace Structures Optional Screens Assembly 1. Hammer TOOLS NEEDED: 3. Measuring Tape 2. Utility Knife 1. 4. Layout one panel section as shown. Step 2: Mark bottom of screen panel in 1-13/16” from each end. Step 3: Tap in narrow filler strip along bottom of panel, and align with marks. 3/4” Tip: Insert factory edge into screen panel for easiest installation. Step 6: Install screen panel by sliding top in as shown. Step 4: Mark top of screen panel 3/4” from each end. Step 7: Slide bottom of screen panel in place and push snug against post as shown. Step 5: Tap in wide filler strip along top of panel, and align with marks. Step 8: Repeat previous steps to install remaining six screen panels. L-Strip T-Strip Note: There are 2 L strips for both sides of door, and 6 T strips for remaining posts. Step 9: Install trim strips onto center of post and fasten with 2-1/2” white head screws into pre-drilled holes. Do not countersink screws too deep, install just beyond surface. Step 10: Install filler strip above door and fasten with 2-1/2” white head screws as shown. Step 11: Install plastic door jamb strip and fasten with 2-1/2” white head screws as shown (flush with outside of post). © HomePlace Structures Step 12: Install aluminum Z-strips on sides of door using 5 white pan head screws per side as shown. Note: It is important to install side Z-strips first. Step 13: Install top Z-strip using 3 white pan head screws. Note: Z-strip corners should align as shown in picture after completion. © HomePlace Structures 1/8” Gap Step 14: Install piano hinge into Z-strip and fasten with pan head screws into pre-drilled holes. Step 15: Slide door into piano hinge starting at top and working to bottom. Step 17: Adjust door for correct reveal at top and fasten with 4 or 5 self-tapping screws. Note: Make sure notched section of piano hinge is at bottom of door. Step 16: Align top of door with top of piano hinge. Step 18: Install bottom sweep onto bottom of door and adjust to desired height. Note: No screws are needed for this piece. © HomePlace Structures
