Dear Mom and Dad,
This week at school we:

introduced the circle and square shapes
•
sorted and counted squares and circles
•
sang “The Hokey Pokey” shape song
•
made a necklace using round cereal and square pretzels
•
created a colorful collage using circles and squares
•
recited and acted out “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Hey Diddle Diddle”
•
used circles and square to create a wheels on the bus picture
In Music with Ms. Miranda we:
•
learned how to sing “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Hey Diddle Diddle”
•
played songs on instruments that where shaped like circles and squares
In PE with Coach Keri we:
•
built a snowman with hula-hoops, a cone and other gym equipment
•
visited Hawaii and avoided the “lava” on the gym floor
•
surfed the waves using pool noodles and boogie boards
•
did the Limbo
•
read the book “Snowmen at Night”
•
performed yoga moves that matchup with scenes in the book
In Spanish with Ms. Miranda we:
•
found azul (blue) and blanco (white) items around the room
•
learned several terms to describe weather
•
learned hace calor (it’s hot) and hace frio (it’s cold)
