Hey TAZ Swimmers, I hope we are all pumped for the meet coming up this Saturday!
A few reminders for the meet;
Get to either the ready bench or your events early so that we won’t have anyone missing races. Also,
make sure we are cheering for our team out there and encouraging every swimmer. Lastly make sure
we are showing good sportsmanship and shaking hands after every race!
I will see you guys on deck today and on the battlefield Saturday!

We will celebrate TAZ through the Decades against the Sierra Sharks with a special “SURVIVOR
TASMANIA” theme on Saturday.

We want our TAZ swimmers and families to participate and here’s how you can join in the fun:

Name your Tribe and put out a sign on your tent for everyone to see.
Stop by the “Survivor Food Table” to taste the delicious delights from Tasmania.
Wear your favorite “Survivor Gear” as if you were braving the wilds of Tasmania.
And if Survivor isn’t your thing, wear the hottest accessory of the 2000s – your favorite
TRUCKER HAT.
** Swimmers will have the chance to play a special Hidden Immunity Idol Game to win prizes.
Throughout the meet, one “Immunity Idol” per age group will be hidden in the Ready Bench (10 &
Under) and amongst the Timers for 11 & Older. Whomever finds the Immunity Idol must turn it in to
the TAZ Tribal Counsel – a Board Member – to receive their prize. **
Throughout the meet, you’ll have the chance to enjoy:
 A special guest appearance;
 Top hits from the last 15 years;
 Survivor themed décor, and
 A wall of pop-culture trends that hit it BIG in the last decade.
Lastly, its SATURDAY SELFIES! We want you to take selfies all day at the meet and post to Instagram
and Facebook with these special hashtags #tazis50 #tazselfiesaturday #taz2000s

PRACTICE SCHEDULE
The AM practice schedule begins next week, June 1. Please consider bringing your swimmers to
morning practice if possible! We have all 10 lanes available in the morning. We are limited to 6 lanes
in the afternoon and it will be VERY CROWDED in the afternoons. (Swimmers are not required to
attend both morning and afternoon practice in the same day.)
Please arrive a few minutes early to apply sunscreen, caps, and goggles. Swimmers should be ready
to get in the water at the appointed time.
