Dear Butterflies Parents,
Welcome to our classroom! We are looking forward to a year of
learning, exploring, and having fun. We have many themes planned for
the upcoming year, so we hope that your child will find many new interests
through our curriculum.
We will also be learning numbers, colors, shapes, letters, sequences,
and patterns before January.
Although we will be learning new
academics throughout the school year, we will also work on strengthening
large (gross) and fine motor skills and establishing classroom rules and
limits.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free
to ask us anytime. We are always available, and we welcome parent
participation. We look forward to a wonderful year with our new friends. We
are honored to be a part of your child’s early education.

BUTTERFLIES CLASSROOM DO’S
CHILDREN:
Greet your friends and teachers when you come to school.
Put your lunchbox and other belongings in your cubby.
Treat your friends and teachers with kindness and respect.
Have a wonderful and playful day at school.
PARENTS:
Sign you child IN and OUT every day with the correct time.
Check the parent board and your child’s folder for important
information.
Check your child’s file folder and cubby for artwork and other
surprises.
Be on time. We start our day at 8:30 am.
DO’S:
Bring in extra clothes for your child (just in case). Please check
occasionally to make sure that they are seasonally appropriate. The
clothes must be labeled and placed in a plastic container.
If your child stays all day, please make sure their bedding sheets are
in a labeled bag. These sheets are to be taken home on Friday for
weekend washing and brought back on Monday for weekly use.
Please note the day of your child’s share and please help them bring
in a share that is theme related. Share items go in the share box. No
toys or jewelry are allowed in the classroom.
DO: Give yourself a pat on the back for being a great parent!!!! Have a
wonderful day wherever your day takes you!!!
The first week of school will be ‘Teddy Bear Week.’ We are
asking each child to bring in their favorite teddy bear or
stuffed animal each day. Please clearly write your child’s
name somewhere on their animal in case we have
duplicates. Our week will conclude on Friday with a Teddy
Bear Picnic.
