MANGAUNG METRO MUNICIPALITY
HOUSEHOLD WATER TARIFFS: 1 JULY 2015 to 30 JUNE 2016
The Household Water Tariffs applicable to the Mangaung Metro Municipality is known as the "Step Tariff"
(also known as a Block tariff) where the cost per kilolitre increases as usage increases.

COMPARATIVE WATER USAGE AND COSTS
Below the household water usage and water tariffs of 2014/2015 Financial year of Mangaung Metro
Municipality are compared with the 2015/2016 Financial year. A new Basic Levy of R20.00 (without VAT
and R22.80 with VAT) per month was added to the new water tariffs for 2015/2016. The Basic Levy
implicates that all smaller consumers will pay a much higher % tariff increase regarding monthly costs
w.e.f. 1 July 2015.
