Fitness Philosophy
With a positive attitude and a can-do spirit you can achieve any goal you
set your mind to. My fitness teaching career began in 2007 with yoga
which I still instruct and enjoy to this day. My passion for wellness and
making an impact on people’s lives led me to study how strength, cardio,
flexibility, and diet work together to transform the body. I ask myself
each day, “What can I do better than I did yesterday?” Positive energy,
enthusiasm, individual care, and sound technique are the tools I use to
help others attain their goals. Through training it is my vision to create a
safe, effective workout that is creative, fun, and unique to your individual
needs. My ambition is to provide each client with the right combination
of fitness to sculpt and strengthen a balanced physique. Be comfortable
in your skin and proud of who you are; It’s your life, go live it!

Rachel Cohay
Pilates Instructor
Fitness Philosophy
“I am extremely excited to provide a place where people feel
comfortable and trusting due to my understanding of the human
body through dance and pilates training. I want to provide various
programs for men, women and children with or without injuries and
imbalances in their bodies. I am focused on relating to each person and
giving my clients the most comprehensive work out and/or rehabilitation
session I can give. Every person and body is different, and so is every session.”
Additional Background
After high school, Rachel continued her dance training with Mason Gross
School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She was subsequently accepted
to the B.F.A program majoring in dance. She studied with some of the
most knowledgeable dance instructors in the northeast such as Randy James,
John Evans, Paulette Sears, Julia Ritter and Sherry Alban. She was also a
part of the Randy James University Danceworks, and toured all over the
tri-state area performing original modern dance pieces.
After intensely choreographing and performing for four years,
graduating from Rutgers University, rigorous training took a toll
on her body. She then blissfully found Pilates. After only a few
private sessions with an instructor, she knew that
this was her calling. Rachel started her Pilates career
working at The Pilates Center in Fairfield, N.J. where
she learned innovative and stimulating ways to help
people through pilates such as sports-specific
pilates programs (hockey, golf, baseball, basketball,
tennis, soccer and football). She also learned how
to rehab breast cancer patients in need of
restoring range of motion in their upper bodies
post-surgery, as well as getting certified in
pre and post-natal Pilates.

Sally has been in the fitness industry for more than 15 years. Early in her career, she
was a swimming coach, diving coach and synchronized swimming instructor and she’s
now back in the aquatics world as a certified Aquatics Rehabilitation Specialist (ATRIC).
Specializing in back rehabilitation and Aquastretch, Sally helps her clients rehabilitate
in the water, taking advantage of the hydrodynamic principles of buoyancy, hydrostatic
pressure and resistance. In her aquatics work, Sally also applies many elements of her
biomechanics training with Dr. Greg Rose of the Titleist Performance Institute. She has
applied her skills and experience to provide real and meaningful assistance to
people with all types of conditions, and through this work she has
improved their quality of life and, in many cases, their mental and
emotional outlook. Typically, her clients come to her after having
completed physical therapy, looking for something more than PT can provide.
Sally is dedicated to helping her clients find that additional strength,
positivity and optimism.
