Convertible Bump Case User’s Guide I N S T R U C T I O N S This case is designed to provide a compact, elegant solution for using and transporting your LIFEBOOK Tablet PC. The convertible bump case is designed so that you can use your system either in notebook or tablet configuration. Figure 1. Convertible Bump Case To open the case, unzip the wraparound zipper (Figure 2) and lift the cover. Open the case so that it lies flat. Closed Case (Top) Notebook Configuration To use your system in notebook configuration: 1. Open your Tablet PC so that the display is in notebook configuration. 2. Place the system into the case and tuck the front corners of the keyboard under the clear corner straps. (Figure 3) 3. Be sure the tablet is inserted completely in the base so that it is lying flush against the bottom. 4. Close the case cover and zip up the wraparound zipper. Putting System in Notebook Configuration Tablet Configuration To use your Tablet PC in tablet configuration: 1. With your Tablet PC in notebook configuration (as outlined above), fold the top of the case down so the display can rotate without interference. 2. Rotate the screen (Figure 5) and lie it flush with the keyboard. 3. Close the case cover and zip up the wraparound zipper. 4. Undo the two Velcro flaps securing the cover and flip the cover over the back of the case (Figure 6). The Velcro flaps can be folded in half and secured to their lower half to prevent them from interfering with the display. 3 Sparrow T580 Bump Case FPC58-2835-02.fm Page 4 Wednesday, January 19, 2011 1:16 PM 5. System in Tablet Configuration Shoulder Strap There are D-rings on all four corners of the case. Two of them are on the top corners, adjacent to the wraparound zipper; the other two are underneath the diagonal elastic protective strips on the rear bottom corners. To attach the shoulder strap, open the spring-loaded clips on the end of the strap, and attach them to two of the D-rings. The D-rings can also be used as an attachment point for a pen tether. D-Ring Locations Caring for the Case The convertible bump case is made of rugged materials, and is designed to withstand daily use. Treat the case as you would a quality briefcase or purse. Occasionally, the case may become soiled. To clean it, brush it with a short-bristled brush. If necessary, use a clean cloth and warm soapy water to wash the soiled area.
