Jade’s breakthrough year was in 2014 when she won Bronze at the Commonwealth Games and she has gone on to
break the British Discuss record twice in 2016 and is now peaking for her biggest challenge – to compete at the
Olympic Games in Rio! On top of her athletic career Jade is also a personal trainer with a passion for weight training,
weight lifting and strength and conditioning. She is very keen to get girls more interested in this area of fitness and
educate them on what the right type of weight training will do for them- hopefully banishing the stereotype of
instantly turning into the hulk after a few squats! We will give all the attendees the opportunity to ask Jade a
question, and you will also be able to learn more from her in the KBTEducation ‘programme design’ workshop.
Are you looking to teach something new? Why not try Fatburn Extreme - a safe and effective, unique workout that’s
packing classes across the UK, and internationally, that has a proven record to maximise results in minimum time.
It is a fixed 20 minute maximal workout, using body weight resistance with an initial focus on hormonal balance and
weight loss. Effective results and extremely positive participant feedback have led to its rapid increase in classes and
instructors throughout the UK, in Australia, Hong Kong, Nepal, and Malaysia since its inception in 2013. Extensive
research has gone into the concept and the results have been phenomenal. Not only are gyms delivering this
workout - now many football and netball teams as well as boxing clubs have incorporated it into their fitness training.
The workouts are pre-designed, licence and PPL free, using voiceover tracks, and are updated monthly. The exercise
sequence is simplistic, concentrating on the importance of technique to optimise the effectiveness and maximise
results. The class has two levels and is adaptable to the individual, regardless of age, gender, or fitness capabilities.
Most importantly, it guarantees results in a short period of time and can be taught in 30 minutes.
This session will be a combination of theory and practical. It will give you a brief overview of the concept; explain
how exercise can affect hormone balance and metabolism. Practical will include the importance of technique
followed by participation in the workout and a short Q&A discussion at the end.
This practical 50-60 minute workshop looks at complex training. We start the session looking at the mechanical and
neuromuscular theory underpinning complex training. This is followed by a practical session involving a variety of
complex exercises allowing you put the theory into practice and gain a further understanding of the application of
the theory.
Complex training is an underutilised training method which, when understood properly, can be used to break
training plateaus and hit new PB’s with your clients. Perfect for sports performance, runners and general strength
training.
Do you understand how to perform complex movements but struggle implementing them in a plan for your clients
to enable them to get the best results? Come and attend our program design workshop and learn about the correct
exercise selection, intensity, volume (set and reps) and recovery periods for different goals. Our workshop is

Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is marked by decreased insulin sensitivity and overall poor glucose control. It is caused by
many factors including age, family history and Obesity. It is characterised by impaired function of insulin-producing
beta cells within the pancreas where the body has developed a resistance and response to insulin has declined.
The cornerstone for the treatment of T2D has typically focused on non-pharmacological treatments such as physical
activity and diet control. The effects of aerobic exercise include improved glucose control, risk reduction for
cardiovascular disease and improvements in cardiovascular fitness. Level walking (concentric contractions) at a
moderate intensity can improve glucose control, blood lipid profile and assist with weight management as well as
enhancing insulin action in older adults with T2D. However, repeated exercise with eccentric contractions has been
shown to have a greater beneficial effect on a number of risk factors associated with T2D.
Downhill treadmill walking may elicit greater cardiovascular and metabolic benefits than level walking such as
reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. In addition,
downhill walking is relatively energy efficient and is rarely associated with physical activity-related injury and when
performed at moderate intensity may have the potential to benefit a number of health and cardiovascular risk factors
associated with T2D.
Combined with potential benefits on glucose control and cardiovascular risk factors, modalities of exercise such as
downhill walking may have the potential to be included in a more effective long-term intervention and improved
prognosis of T2D patients.
Burlexercise is unlike any other dance based fitness class because it contains both cardio and resistance in one
session. The first half of the class is a dance based aerobic workout incorporating traditional Burlesque technique
into a high energy/high impact (lighter options available) 30 minute cardio session.
After the cardio we pick up our weighted boas and move onto the resistance element of the class. This consists of 2
x arm exercises, 2 or 3 x leg exercises and 1 or 2 x core exercises – dependent on the Volume being taught.
We are the only dance-based fitness class offering a sassy resistance workout within the same session. Making weight
training glamorous, we've made resistance something fun and less intimidating.
Where’s Burlexercise come from?
Burlexercise is created by professional Burlesque Showgirls. Katie and Sarah-Lou also run and perform with
London's leading Burlesque troupe 'The Folly Mixtures'. At the weekends, these girls swap their trainers and sports
bras for high heels and corsets! Both have professional dance training and wanted to combine this art form with their
fitness background, to create a fun workout that gets results.
deepWORK® is a barefoot athletic training based on the principle of Yin and Yang. It is a unique combination of the
best yoga, rehabilitation and high intensity sport specific movements, in a very powerful way. During our 60 minutes
long practical masterclass we work on the polarities (cardio-strength, mobility-stability, lower body-upper body and
so on) to create harmony not just in the body but in the mind as well. Our main aim is to provide a safe, effective
and fun session for the participants, focusing on the principles of the Yin and Yang as detailed above. This class is not
about jumping as much as we can, or holding a stretching pose as long as we can. It is about doing everything for the
perfect amount of time, in the perfect sequence, with the perfect rhythm. We believe that quality should be the
number one criteria when we are exercising.
"As a former professional athlete, I really enjoy the intensity of the class and experiencing my "highs and lows" during
the session, emotionally and physically as well. I always finish the class being proud, relaxed and happy...that is my
reward and that is the reason why I love deepWORK®."
This session will give a brief background into how we traditionally screen for low back pain, how we focus on muscle
restrictions to help improve lost/dysfunctional movement abilities. This will then lead into why this is a poor strategy
at best, learning why muscles have little or no impact on movement and pain, blending into how fibrous connective
tissue (fascia and skin) has more relevance to the moving body scientifically and applied. Learn the anatomy and
physiology of fascia, how to screen it, and use a quick, powerful 3 step strategy to aid efficient, effective and pain free
motion- instantly! This will be educational but easy to apply and will grow and adapt your perception of how we treat
and train the body for human function.
To Attract ALL The Clients You’ll Ever Want… One of the BIGGEST frustrations fitness professionals and business
owners face is how to consistently attract more of the right clients to your business. In this session you’ll be shown
how to never have an empty calendar or class again, while gaining momentum with all your marketing activity to build
a powerful community of raving fans that grows your business from the inside out through key marketing systems,
messaging, and positioning your company and brand to ensure you’re attracting the clients YOU want to work with.
PILOXING® SSP is a high-energy interval workout that uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with
the targeted sculpting and flexibility of pilates. These techniques are supplemented by the use of weighted gloves,
further toning the arms and maximizing cardiovascular health. Add to that fun dance moves and you have a workout
that will tone muscle, burn fat and empower you both physically and mentally. Using the most current science,
PILOXING® SSP incorporates popular principles such as interval and barefoot training to burn maximum calories
and increase stamina.
Learn about the basics of functional movement analysis and how to identify dysfunctional movement and apply
exercises to help support rectification of some issues. Understand the application of muscle chains with strength
training to create optimal balance between all muscle chains and create optimal force production between agonist
and antagonist muscles. Our workshop is delivered by full time S&C coaches who work with athletes on a daily basis.
There has been much talk in recent years, about how the diet used during World War II was beneficial for people’s
health. Certain types of food were restricted: fat, sugar, animal protein and dairy foods, and people had unlimited
access to any fruit and vegetables they could grow, with a higher percentage of plant foods and plant based protein.
Chemical additives and processed foods were minimal. Overall people were healthy, didn’t have any problems with
obesity and considering some of the stresses they had to deal with, functioned very well. We don’t need to go back
to those extremely austere times, but we can learn a lot from them and take the good parts and enhance the areas
which could be improved upon. This presentation will give you some of the tools to look at your diet, your clients
diet and make simple changes that will achieve effective results.
This is a practical 50-60 minute workshop, looking at identifying biomechanical abnormalities in runners. Based on
this analysis you will learn how to select and utilise appropriate exercises to help modify and assist in performance
enhancement of the runner, with emphasis also placed on injury prevention.
Running is an activity which is accessible to most personal training clients, however training programmes are often
prescribed with no knowledge of the client’s biomechanical capability.
Change this through applying the knowledge gained during this workshop and turn your client into an effective,
stronger runner and take their training to the next level.
