Fruity Flapjack
Ingredients
150g oats
50g sugar
50g butter/margarine
75g dried fruit
2x15ml golden syrup/honey
Equipment
Mixing bowl
Baking tin
Pan and pan stand
Oven gloves
Plastic spoon
Cooling rack
Table spoon
Method
1. Prepare yourself and your surface. Find all of your equipment.
2. Preheat your oven to 180°C and prepare your baking tin.
3. Add the sugar, butter/margarine and syrup/honey to a pan and melt on a
medium heat.
4. When all the butter/margarine is melted put pan on a pan stand
5. Stir in the oats and dried fruit until all combined
6. Pour mixture into tin and level top with the back of a table spoon.
7. Put it in the oven using oven gloves for approximately 20 minutes
8. Begin washing up.
9. Check the flapjack, if golden brown and crispy on the edges take out and
put into a pan stand.
10. Use a knife to release the edges and turn out onto a cooling tray before
cutting into pieces to go into your container.
11. Wipe down the surfaces and work as a team to put equipment away
