Economist. Master in Management and Strategy for Tourist Destinations.
He is currently an independent consultant with expertise in Tourism Industry. He is Consultant
for the UNWTO, and Consultant in Food Tourism in the Basque Culinary Centre.
He collaborates as a lecturer in several Spanish Universities as A Coruña, Barcelona,
Málaga, Navarra, Oviedo, and Santiago de Compostela. He is also a lecturer on Tourism
Trends specializing in Destination Management, Cultural Tourism, Gastronomy, and Tourism
Marketing and Communication.
He was Managing Director of the Tourism Board of Santiago de Compostela, Turismo de
Santiago de Compostela, from 2002 to 2009, and Vice President of the UNWTO Destination
Council from 2007 to 2009.
Dr. Diane Dodd es.linkedin.com/pub/diane-dodd/2/582/505
has worked in the field of international cultural co-operation for over 20 years. She is Director
of IGCAT (International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism) where she has cofounded the European Region of Gastronomy award. She is also European coordinator for
the global network IFACCA (International Federation of Arts Councils and Cultural
Agencies). She leads an MA course in Cultural Institutions and Policies for the International
University of Catalonia in Barcelona, and is a visiting lecturer on many other European
courses. For four consecutive years she has been selected as an independent evaluator for
the Cultural Routes programme of the Council of Europe.
