RECORDING GUIDELINES
All auditions should be submitted digitally WITH ACCOMPANYING CONTACT FORM by email to bro_uploads_
[email protected]. PLEASE NOTE: Sendtodropbox strips out the sender’s address information, so if you
do not include a contact form, we will not be able to get in touch with you.
FILE FORMAT: Files should be in mp3 format only.
SEPARATE FILES: Please record each item separately. Audio files should be zipped into a single folder for
submission via email.
FILE NAMES: Each recording should have a descriptive file name comprising the piece played and the auditioner’s last name, e.g. Scale1Jones, Scale2Jones, ExcerptJones, etc. Zipped folders should be named with
the candidate’s first name, last name, and instrument, e.g. SteveJonesViolin. Email subject line should be:
first name, last name, instrument, “audition,” e.g. Steve Jones Violin Audition.
LISTEN! Before submitting, listen to your recordings all the way through, paying attention to the quality
of the finished recording for audio level and the balance with the metronome. Choose a space with good
acoustics (not too live); minimize ambient noise (street noise, fans, air conditioners, etc.); avoid speaking
during the recordings.
If you have technical difficulties or are unable to submit digitally, contact Melon Wedick at broproducing
[at] gmail.com.
