It`s Just Paper

It’s Just Paper...
or is it?
The Key Elements We Monitor
and why they’re important to your production
1) Paper & Wax Basis Weight: Film Thickness/Caliper
Variation in this area will cause interleaving material to run
inconsistently through the interleaving process
2) Co-efficient of Friction/Slip test
The correct COF will prevent product from slipping on
interleave material and create a high quality product stack.
3) Interleave Material Rigidity/Flexibility
This enables interleave material to index properly through
the interleaver and be cut cleanly by interleave knives.
4) Paper Core
Robust composition of the paper core enables it to be
properly mounted onto the interleaver paper spindle.
5) Side Wall Alignment
Variation in the side wall of a roll will lead to improper
tracking of the paper through the interleaver rollers.
6) Lineal Feet Per Roll
This value will assist in determining correct yield and cost per
portion values.
7) Weight Per Roll
Customers have ergonomic limitations for employee health
and safety. Roll weight must comply with these requirements.
8) Roll Hardness
Paper must be wound tightly on the core so that it will not
slip from the core as it is unwound.
9) Finish Packaging
Each paper roll is bagged with a core cap to prevent dust
and dirt from collecting on the paper.
10) Documentation
Annual Letter of Guarantee and
Certificates of Compliance ensure
food safety and transparency with
the customer.
11) Storage
Interleaving paper should be stored in
a dry, cool environment, with an ideal
temperature range of 35º to 60º F.
