FULTON-MONTGOMERY RAIDERS COMMUNITY COLLEGE COVE January 24, 2013 RAIDERS COVE RIBBON CUTTING Approximately 100 members of FM’s community including students, staff, board members and donors, gathered at the campus' newly renovated physical education building’s swimming pool area on Thursday, January 24, to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Raiders Cove, the college's brand new social venue. The $1.7 million facility features an Internet cafe, a lounge area, a “Mondo Subs” eatery, several televisions, a stage with a projection screen for entertainment purposes, a FM Board of Trustees Chairman Jim Landrio, foosball table and pool table. The FM President Dr. Dustin Swanger, and FM Foundation project resulted in almost 2,000 Chair Diana Marshall cut the ribbon for Raiders Cove. square foot of new P.E. instructional space along with expanded space for the College’s Public Safety Offices. Funding for Raiders Cove was a collaborative effort undertaken by the College’s Foundation, its Faculty/Student Association (FCA), and food service provider Chartwells, with matching dollars from the State. The project was the outgrowth of the College’s recent efforts to expand its residential housing and to accommodate its recent enrollment growth. Raiders Cove will be open seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Friday - Saturday.
