blades in Australia and
New Zealand

During a major product launch in Melbourne, in October, IRWIN® Tools
announced several new product launches,
including its next generation WeldTec®
Circular Saw Blade range.
The blades feature exclusive welded carbide teeth for outstanding strength (when
compared to IRWIN Marathon Carbide
CSB) and are designed for construction,
demolition and specialty applications.
“Our innovative ultra-thin kerf blades
are designed for enhanced durability,
great blade control and long product life,
without sacrificing speed. The WeldTec
Circular Saw Blades allow trade professionals to get more out of their tools, while
increasing efficiency and productivity on
the job,” IRWIN’s brand marketing senior
manager, Justin Goode said.
The WeldTec Circular Saw Blades
last longer (when tested against
IRWIN’s existing MPP blade spec) with
LENOX® recently introduced its new Demolition CTTM
Reciprocating Saw Blades and Bi-Metal Reciprocating
Saw Blades with Power Blast Technology.
IRWIN’s innovative WeldTec process,
featuring carbide teeth welded onto the
blades, not brazed; creates a tooth bond
that is stronger than other blades.
Additional components include:
• A PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) nonstick coating and reduced binding and
gumming, which increases cutting speed
while dissipating heat damage.
• Perimeter vents strengthen the core of
the blade and enable fast chip ejection.
• The laser cut plate with expansion
control slots provide superior f latness
over a broad temperature range, with
reduced warping and increased blade
stability.
