Tuesday,
Thursday & Friday
You can download e-Books and e-Audio books from the comfort of your home, 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. It is easy to download a book or audio. If you don’t
have Overdrive downloaded to your device, you will need to do so. Go to the
library’s website at westbranchlibrary.org and hover over Books & Resources. You will see a drop
down menu for e-books and e-audio books. Just follow the direc(ons on the web site. A)er you
have a book or audio book downloaded, you can read or listen to your story anywhere, even without internet access!
Going away for the winter? Download e-books, and e-audio books from the library
while your away. All you need is Wi-Fi to download an e- book, or e-audio book.
Flying someplace? Need to make your suitcase lighter? Just download your books on
your device before you instead of taking books to read on vaca(on.
Just another great way to connect to West Branch District Library!

HUMAN TRAFFICKING
January is human trafficking awareness month. Human trafficking involves the use
of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.
Human trafficking is not a choice. A person cannot consent to become enslaved.
Vic(ms want to escape, but can’t. Millions of men, women, and children are forced
into labor situa(ons and into the sex trade world. Vic(ms can be any age, race,
gender, or na(onality. It is es(mated that there are 27 million people in slavery
today. Michigan is #5 in the na(on for human trafficking. It occurs not only in large ci(es, but in
small communi(es. If you suspect human trafficking, there is a (p line you can call at 1-800-3472423. If you would like to find out what is being done in our community call 989-387-2203.
