Comments:
The illustrations here attempt to show basic components of clastic and carbonate reservoirs, and of
organic shales. The original work was done by J.B. Clavaud at Chevron in 2006, and has been
expanded since then. This is a work in progress, especially in organic shales, as our understanding of
the physical properties of the shales and the responses of the logging measurements to those
properties increases.
