Features
Triples-H 132/8 Slope is an efficient 8” aperture low brightness downlight
for use in sloped ceilings. Fixture is made in eight different configurations
conforming to ceiling slopes of 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 25°, 30°, 35° and 40°.
Triples-H 132/8 Slope provides shielding angles of 40° parallel to and
40° perpendicular to the lamps. Recess depth varies with ceiling slope but
is never greater than 11 1/2” (see table below drawing).
Triples-H 132/8 Slope is designed for use with a single 32-watt, 4-pin,
triple-tube lamp which provides 2400 lumens, a 10,000-hour life, a color
rendering index (CRI) of 82, and color temperatures as warm as 2700° K.
Fixture may be relamped from below without removing reflector.
Reflector consists of a single, seamless aluminum spinning from lamp to
ceiling line, resulting in a uniquely elegant appearance. (No added ‘slope
adaptors’; no joints; no obtrusive mismatches of color, contour or finish.)
Reflector is available in clear, natural aluminum
in two finishes: slightly diffuse (V) or fully
diffuse (EC). Additionally, reflector is
available in champagne gold, wheat,
pewter and bronze. Other reflector finishes
are available on special order.
The elliptical edge of the reflector is trimmed
with a 1 1/8” wide steel flange to conceal the
edges of the ceiling installation hole. Standard flange finish is white;
custom paint finish available on special order.
Triples-H 132/8 Slope includes a pair of mounting bars (3/4” x 27” C
channel). Specialty bars for wood joist and T-bar installations are available as accessories.

APPLICATIONS
Fixture is recommended for
downlighting in sloped
ceilings in offices, retail
and institutional spaces,
especially in lobbies, corridors
and public areas. The shallow recess
depth allows mounting in constricted
plenum situations.
Fixture is
listed for Damp Location
(may not be suitable for some outdoor environments). Fixture is in compliance with the component
based efficiency standards of the 1995 New York State Energy
Conservation Code. Fixture is prewired with high power factor Class
P electronic ballast and approved for eight #12 wire 75°C branch circuit
pull-through wiring. Removal of the reflector allows access to the ballast
and junction box.

Custom painted flanges are available on special order; add CCF (custom color flange).
Example: TRPH 132/8 SLOPE-30-120-V is the product code for a fixture prepared for 30˚ slope
and 120-volt service with clear reflector.
OPTIONS Specify by adding to the basic unit.
Dimmable 3-wire ballast. Not for outdoor application............................. – DM
Emergency battery pack operates one lamp in case of power outage.
Footprint increases by 3 1/8” on one side. No outdoor application . .................. – EM
A modified fixture suitable for 347-volt service is available on special order. Contact factory.
We recommend the use of Sylvania Dulux® T/E (non-amalgam) lamps to virtually eliminate the
possibility of reduced light output sometimes caused by a return air plenum or a nearby elevator,
exterior door or air conditioning diffuser.

Note: The test below is based on a flat ceiling (0˚ slope) fixture. The photometric effects of modifying the fixture for a sloped ceiling are as follows:
• asymmetry of distribution increases with slope as more and more light is blocked by the long side of the reflector
• spacing criteria are reduced slightly as slope increases, with an estimated 5% reduction at 40˚ slope
• efficiency is reduced slightly as slope increases, with an estimated 10% reduction at 40˚ slope
