Della Stokes, Jeanne Bankston,* Sue Hart, Tommie.Potter,* Shirley Blake * Member of Campus Players ** Member of Alpha Psi Omega Produced by special arrangement with Samu~l French of New York ABOUT THE AUTHOR Tonight we present the work of the distinguished English playwright, Oscar Wilde. As a dramatist, Wilde added nothing new to English drama. His characters are mere typ~s; and he follows a technique of insincerity and sheer theatricalism. However, in his aim to entertain, he was successful. Tonight's play, The Importance of Being Earnest, is a "comedy of wit" which traces its leinage back through Sheridan to Congreve. Already it has become a classic. . - Alpha Psi Or HoI ds lnitiatio_ Harding's chapter .o f Alp~ Omega, naUona!l honorary drl fraternity, initiated thl'ee neW be.rs April 30 at the Mayfair They are Janet Heidbreder, 1 Rawlings and Margaret Willi ol'ganization extends mem.ber. those who have displayed u ability and lnte11est ln colleg m.atics.
