The NAACPC Sets the Record

master or slave, the relationship is designed by
the legislature leading to government control of
ones life. So the Amendments, which were
passed by the Republicans, were designed to
remove those slave code restrictions on society
and to fulfill the Republican mandate of fighting
As a matter of fact, the Civil Rights Act of
1875 had passed nearly a century earlier
as the first anti-discrimination law in the
United States. It was put into law with
99.5% Republican support and 0% Democrat support. The 1964 law mirrored this
here. In a racially
charged rant against
the Tea Party Movement, Rev. Bracy,
President of the Orange County Branch of the
NAACP, mentioned the 13th, 14th and 15th
for individual freedom. After all, the Republican
mandate since 1854 was to stop the spread of
slavery and to create the most amount of individual freedom for all. In layman terms, that means
limited government.
amendments as necessary government interventions which greatly benefited society. I
Segregation is another topic which Rev. Bracy
directly puts upon the Tea Party movement. Yet,
he does not cover the issue with full disclosure. In 1914, Democrat President Woodrow
Wilson segregated the Federal government. That’s right; we have a Democrat to thank
for segregation. Here are just a few quotes:
original law but alas, in 1883, the Democratic Party repealed it by finding it unconstitutional. For the next 100 years, the
Republican Party fought to limit any government’s ability to restrict the rights of
citizens in the U.S. against Democratic
opposition.
could not agree more with the statement. I will
add though what Rev. Bracy left out:

The 13th Amendment which abolished
Slavery in America forever, was passed in
1865 with 100% Republican support and
only 23% Democrat support. The Democrats opposed the freeing of slaves.

The 14th
Amendment
which
allowed
newly freed slave to become citizens of
the United States passed with 94% Republican support and 0% Democrat support. The Democrats did not want blacks
to be citizens of the United States.

The 15th Amendment which ensured that
these new citizens would be afforded the
same right to vote as other citizens passed
congress with 100% Republican support
and 0% Democrat support. Even though
blacks could become citizens through the
14th Amendment, Democrats did not want
to give them the right to vote.
These are some of the most important Amendments that we have in our Constitution with
the 13th being the most important. These laws,
contrary to what the Rev. would have you believe, did not add restrictions onto the lives of
the American people but did quite the opposite.
These are laws limiting the States ability to
control people’s lives. This is a very important
point to repeat. When evaluating laws one
must contemplate what effect they are to have
on society. Laws are either written to control
you more or to release a particular level of
governmental control. Clearly slave codes were
designed to control people’s lives, whether
Boston Evening Transcript-November 13,
1914:
"Until the [Woodrow] Wilson [D] Administration
came into power there was no segregation of
negro clerks at Washington, there was no neces-
sity for it, there was no demand for it, in short
there was no "segregation" issue".
New York Times-November 13, 1914
“…For fifty years negro and white employees
have worked together in the Government departments in Washington. It was not until the present Administration [Woodrow Wilson] came in
that segregation was drastically introduced....”
Yet what is segregation if it is not “Big Government” controlling people’s movements and dealings in society. The laws to desegregate were
designed to limit the government’s ability to control people of color in society, i.e. limited government.
Lastly, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting
Rights Act of 1965. Both of these laws had been
proposed numerous times by Republicans
throughout the 20th Century. Everett McKinley
Dirksen, the eventual Minority Leader of the Republican Party himself introduced such legislation
nearly every year he was in office only to be
defeated by the Democratic Party.
The Vote count for the landmark 1964 Civil
Rights Act was 80% Republican support
and 63% Democrat support. The Democratic Party even had a super majority and
could have passed it themselves without
Republican support, but instead they sent
out Senator Robert Byrd, a former KKK
chapter leader, to filibuster to measure in
the longest filibuster in American history.
The Voting rights Act of 1965, introduced
by Everett McKinley Dirksen, Senate Minority Leader passed with 85% Republican
support and 75% Democrat support. In the
history of Civil Rights Legislation, the Republicans have supported Civil Rights 94%
of the time to the Democrats only 35% of
the time.
All of the Civil Rights laws are passed to
enforce what the Civil Rights Leaders desired, limited intrusion in the personal lives
of blacks and all Americans. Remember,
the biggest governments that have existed
for Black America were the Pro-Slavery
Governments and the Pro-Segregation
Governments, both of which were supported and promoted by the Democratic
Party. Now, the Democratic Party is ProSocialism which is just another way of
saying-Government control of people’s
lives.
There were 2 issues that the Civil
Rights Leaders knew would benefit
society as a whole, let alone their

now 5 Republicans, 1 Independent
and one Democrat. The Orange
County Commission has never been
so Republican. Conclusion: Resounding 100% success.
Finally, We wanted Orange County
to make an important contribution
to our state-wide candidates Rubio,
Scott, Carroll, Atwater, Putnam and
Bondi. Mission accomplished on all
fronts. Orange County did it's duty,
not only in votes cast, but also in
providing some of the best events in
the entire state this campaign season. ALL of the candidates told us
over and over and over again that
their best events were here in Orange County. Our senate seat stays
in Republican hands and the entire
Florida cabinet is Republican! Conclusion: Resounding 100% success.
All of you deserve credit for all of
this. It was a tremendous team effort. I cannot list here every single
name of every person who contributed, but I can and will single out
some very special people who
worked all but full time. They are:
Your OCREC officers and elected
leaders Nancy Patterson, Jerry
Braley, Adam Lovejoy, Patty Redlich
and Ron Bass. Your district chairs
Ron Janssen, Ron Redlich, Audra
Montgomery, Jake Hanselman, Jeff
Johnston and John Kurtz. Most importantly, the "super volunteers"
that made our offices and daily work
run smoothly: Sylvia Rice, Rae
Capen, BJ West, Patty and Ron
Redlich, Peter Lee and many others.
These people worked for the GOP
cause more or less every day for
months, in many cases ALL day
every day for months. Please tell
them how much you appreciate their
work if you see them.
Finally, thank yourselves. OCREC's
work had an important role in both of
the key congressional races. Your
vote to send out the Segal mailer in
the Mayor's race was critical. Many of
you were the ones who stepped up
when Rick Scott needed a campaign
committee here in Orange County.
Bravo to all of you.
Take a few days, rest up. Enjoy a
once every 2 generations victory.
Then resolve to come back fighting,
because the 2012 battle to take back
the OTHER half of America starts on
Nov 3.
Onward to 2012!

own constituents, and they were;
1. As long as race is aloud to exist as
an institution and the understanding
of a diverse citizenry was promoted,
then one homogeneous American
citizenry would never be attained
and discrimination of any one diverse part of the citizenry was possible. In other words, we are all
Americans first-equally.
2. A government built upon limited
intrusion into ones personal life was
best for all Americans.
Looking back at both slavery and segregation, the Civil Rights leaders understood
that if government limited itself from determining how any part of the citizenry
should conduct either its business or life,
the possibility of true Freedom and true
Equality would be attained. With government involvement, the possibility for institutional discrimination abounds.
For Black America, governments have
given us Slavery, Segregation and now
they are attempting Socialism. When will
Black America learn that a big government controlling people’s lives has always been to their detriment?
