Special Announcements
The 3M Club of St. Paul is looking for volunteers for the following position:
Activity Club Director–responsibilities include overseeing current Activity Club
operations and initiating new clubs that align with fellow 3M Club Members interests.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Active 3M Club of St. Paul member
• Current 3M employee (contract workers and retirees are ineligible)
• Compliance with the 3M Code of Conduct
• Work at 3M Center in St. Paul
• Willing to serve a term of two (2) years
• Willing to commit at least ten (10) hours per month to support 3M Club initiatives

Join the 3M A Capella club!
We are a new group on campus! We have worked on holiday songs, pop songs and
classics. All song choices and styles are determined by the group. Come to sing with a
great group of people.

Amateur Radio Club
For all 3M employees and retirees interested in “ham” radio. Club meetings are held the
3rd Tuesday of each month, 6 PM at the Bldg 220-2N-C conference room. The club
also meets the first Saturday of every month, 8 AM breakfast at Denny's Restaurant,
255 North Century Avenue, Maplewood (east of 3M Center).
Join us for our weekly 2 meter net, every Tuesday night at 8:30 PM on the W0MR
147.120+ repeater. We also have a world-wide HF net every Thursday, 5:30 PM @
21.385 and 6:00 PM @ 14.288. All frequencies are +/- QRM.

Archery Club
The 3M Club Archery Club is moving to the Bald Eagle Sportsmen’s Association (BESA)
this year. BESA is located at 6557 N 125th Street, Hugo, MN 55038.
• Sept 4 – 3D Trail Shoot at Bald Eagle Sportsmen’s Association. Shoot hours are 8:00
am - 3:00 pm. There will be 50 targets set in two 25 target loops. Cost is $5 for BESA
members, $15 for non-members, $5 youth 13-16, youth 12 & under are free. There is a
$30 family max. Concessions will be available. Don't miss out on these great
opportunities to get ready for the upcoming hunting season. We only have 1 Sunday
shoot left for the year and you won't want to miss out!
• Sept 19 – Have a Go with a Bow at Bald Eagle Sportsmen’s Association, 10:00 am to
2:00 pm. Learn how to shoot archery. Lessons and equipment provided. Friends and
family welcome. The event is free. Concessions will be available.

Bicycle User Group
Ride to work? Ride for fun? Want to ride more? Want to start? This is the place for you
to become a safer, healthier, and smarter cyclist. The 3M Club Bicycle User Group
offers the following activities and apparel:
• Charity bike rides
• Recreational and family bike rides
• 3M cycling apparel (discounts available to 3M Club Bicycle Club members)
In addition, we support and encourage the following activities sponsored by the Bicycle
User Group:
• Monthly Ride to Work Events starting from six different locations in the Twin Cities
area, led by experienced 3M bike commuters. Event dates are: Aug 17 and Sept 22
• Monthly educational events for riders on a variety of topics during the
spring/summer/fall
A used bike drive to collect used bike parts for a local non-profit agency who
reconditions the bikes for lending through a library or for resale (September – TBD)

The 3M Essential Oils Exploration Club invites employees who are eager to explore the

Professor Joachim Reppmann from St. Olaf Speaking on German Immigration to the
United States. Did you know Germany is one of the largest ethnic groups to immigrate

• Registration costs are a one-time annual fee of $10 for 3M’ers, Retirees, Spouses, or
dependents. No obligation to join any leagues. Register and shoot practice at your
leisure.
• Our club calendar is on the website above. The main summer season begins
Tues/Wed, April 5/6 with hours between 4:00pm until ½ hour before sunset all the
way through August.
• Clay target shooting is the fastest growing high school sport in Minnesota.
• Many of your kids may be participating already.
• We have 4-Trap Ranges, 2-Skeet Ranges, and a new 5-Stand Sporting Clays Range.
