Total Tons of Straw
This is the total tons of combined straw by county (Sorghum, Wheat, Oats, Barley). It is based on the NASS data and calculated using a ten year average from 1999‐2008. in order to be included in the ten year average there had to be a reported yield in at least nine of the ten years. Additionally a harvest index of .4 was used for all included crops. The cross hatch indicates counties that had a straw yield in excess of 6000 lbs/acre
