ow is the best time to prune fruit trees and here is how in three
simple steps. When dealing with pome fruits (apples, pears and
quince) or stone fruits (peaches, cherries, apricots, plums), this
three-step method works well. 1. Start by pruning away any wood
that is dead, damaged or diseased. Remove sprouts coming from
the bottom. Cut back straight sprouts growing from some of the
main branches. Always prune the branches back flush to the larger limb they’re
growing from — don’t leave stubs. 2. Thinning out allows light and air into the
canopy, which boosts fruit production and reduces pests and disease. Remove
branches that grow downward, inward or that cross paths with another branch.
Thin until there is a good 6-12 inches of space around every branch. 3. Prune
back the outermost growth of the tree so the branches become thicker as they
grow, rather than longer. Prune young branches back to a point 1/4 inch above a
bud that faces the direction you want that branch to grow in the coming year.

It takes a photon, on average, 200,000 years to travel from the core of the Sun to the
surface, then just a little over 8 minutes from the Sun’s surface to your eyeball.
2. Aids digestion.

Hitting on the novel idea that he could end his wife's incessant nagging
by giving her a good scare, Hungarian Jake Fen built an elaborate
harness to make it look as if he had hanged himself. When his wife
came home and saw him, she fainted. Hearing a disturbance, a
neighbor came over and, finding what she thought were two corpses,
seized the opportunity to loot the place. As she was leaving the room,
her arms laden, the outraged and suspended Mr. Fen kicked her stoutly
in the backside. This so suprised the lady that she dropped dead of a
heart attack. Happily, Mr. Fen was acquitted of manslaughter, and he
and his wife were reconciled.

How many pages can you make out of a tree?
Since trees are different sizes, it would be difficult to say how much
paper comes from one tree. A cord of wood measuring 4 feet by 4 feet
by 8 feet—or 128 cubic feet—produces nearly 90,000 sheets of bondquality paper

The bowline is the king of sailing knots. It has been in use by sailors continuously for at least 500 years. HOW TO TIE IT:
Step 1: Form a loop near the end of the line.
Step 2: Run the end of the line back through that loop.
Step 3: Next, run the line around the standing end and back through the
small loop.
Step 4: Now grasp the end and pull the knot tight.

Man Can Not Live By Bread Alone...
• 51/2-6 cups flour
• 3 Tbs Yeast
• 2 Tbsp sugar
• 1 Tbsp salt
• 1 cup milk
• 1¼ cups water
• 3 Tbsp butter
• 1 Tbsp butter,
melted
1. Combine 2½ cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt; mix

elastic, 5 to 8 minutes. Place in greased bowl,
turning to grease top. Cover; let rise in warm area
for 20 minutes.
2. Punch down dough. Divide into 2 parts. Cover; let rise in warm area until
almost doubled, about 30 minutes. With a very sharp knife, make a slash
across the top of each loaf and pour melted butter into each slash. Preheat
oven to 400°F. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool & Enjoy!
