Salisbury in Wiltshire. There is
a river by it called the river
Avon.

What is Stonehenge?
Stonehenge is a ring of tall
fascinating stones. Its a
prehistoric monument.
There were stones such as
blue stones which came
from south wales and sarsen stones and loads
more.
All together it became a
ring of large stones called
Stonehenge.
When was Stonehenge
built?
Stonehenge was built
5ooo years ago .It started
in 3000bc.
When they built Stonehenge people didn't write
records they couldn't write
and they did not have TV
or even cars. This means
that there is no exact records about Stonehenge.
What was Stonehenge used
for?
No one knows what
Stonehenge was used for.
Some people think they
buried there dead because
they found human bones in
holes at Stonehenge.
One of the other reasons it
might have been used for
is some where to praise
their Gods.
There are lots more ideas
about what it might have
been used for but nobody
knows exactly.
