FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (May 10, 2013) – The Restaurant
People is pleased to announce the latest addition to its
repertoire, S3 – where sun, surf and sand uniquely fuse with
steak, seafood and sushi – is now open at Hilton Fort
Lauderdale Beach Resort. Providing an upscale-casual
oceanfront dining experience in a chic, relaxed atmosphere
at an affordable price point, S3 is poised to take Fort
Lauderdale beach by storm, appealing to locals and tourists
alike.
Conceptualized and brought to life by a seasoned executive
team comprised of Tim Petrillo, president and co-founder of
The Restaurant People; Peter Boulukos, executive chef and co-founder; and Alan Hooper, co-founder and
construction development manager – the same restaurateurs and culinary masterminds behind South
Florida hot spots such as YOLO, O Lounge, Tarpon Bend and Vibe Las Olas – S3 comprises a perfect
balance between the relaxed lifestyle that beach-life exudes, and the chic yet oh-so-livable pulse for which
Fort Lauderdale has become known.

The concept behind S3 was simple: To provide guests with the ultimate in oceanfront dining, offering
patrons fresh coastal cuisine and the closest spot to the ocean anywhere along Fort Lauderdale beach.
Upon entering, guests are whisked away into an island-chic retreat complete with an indoor/outdoor bar and
terraced dining, complemented by a lush outdoor patio with fire pits surrounded by custom-designed, ultracomfortable lounge seating. The overall space was designed to open completely to the ocean, providing
endless, breathtaking views of the Atlantic no matter where one opts to lounge or dine. Luxe, modern beach
home-style décor and finishes such as exotic island stone, warm tropical wood, woven fabrics and driftwood
were used to further enhance the chic resort-style ambiance that S3 exudes.
Add to that private event space for up to 120, an open kitchen and expansive sushi bar with seating for 15,
and live entertainment, and the ultimate beachfront dining experience is complete. As with all of The
Restaurant People’s prior collaborations and longstanding Fort Lauderdale hotspots, S3’s beachside resortstyle atmosphere will be complemented by an eclectic mix of regular live music and acoustic entertainment,
and a variety of special events hosted throughout the season.
Drawing from its upscale-casual, resort-like ambiance and décor, the S3 dining concept blends a dynamic
variety of cuisines to create an oceanfront dining experience like no other. Featuring a menu centered on
costal cuisine and a unique sharable concept, S3 is truly a new wave in oceanfront dining, serving up the
freshest daily catches and premium cuts of meat. Under the guidance and culinary direction of TRP cofounder and Executive Chef Peter Boulukos, S3 Executive Chef Chris Miracolo – whose prior post as
Executive Chef at Delray Beach’s Max’s Harvest garnered critical acclaim – has created a menu that will
feature a combination of traditional foodie favorites and ever-evolving specials and seasonal offerings, with
unique and popular menu items ultimately to be determined by its patrons.
S3 also features an expansive sushi bar under the direction of renowned sushi chef Daniel Binghak, whose
resume includes serving as sushi chef at the famed Morimoto in Philadelphia, as well as at New York City’s
most in-demand Japanese sushi bar, Masa. Drawing from his extensive experience and expertise, Binghak
has created a sushi menu filled with intricate, lavish and innovative creations, providing S3 diners a one-ofa-kind sushi experience with a signature wow-factor that only Binghak can provide.
