Reading/Language Arts:
Monday: Read a story of your choice make a connection between the
book and another book you have read. Explain why this book makes you
think of the other one.
Tuesday: Read a story of your choice. Why do you think the author chose
to begin the book the way he or she did?
Wednesday: Read a story of your choice. Select a minor character and
explain how he or she contributes to the action in the story.
Thursday: Read a story of your choice. if the main character could undo
one action, what would it be? What is the significance of the action?
Friday: Read a story of your choice. There are many different types of
endings to books. Some endings are happy; some are sad. some endings
are predictable; some are surprising. Sometimes everything is explained at
the end of a book. Other times, the reader is left to wonder. what type of
ending does the book have? Why do you think the author chose this type
of ending?
Composing:
Monday: Write a poem about your most prized possession
Tuesday:( I.B) If you could visit any country in the world, where would
you go? What would you do there?
Wednesday; What is your favorite thing to write about? How does writing
make you feel?
Thursday: ( I.B.)If you were Governor of Maryland, how would you spend
a budget surplus?
