BENNY FIZZ is our friendly church mouse. He scuttles
around our churches taking ‘selfies’ on his visits as
keepsakes of the good times he has; these are on the
benefice website. A few kind people emailed Benny
trying to guess where he had been. But Sally’s were
the only completely correct answers and Benny said
she wasn’t allowed to play the game. So now Benny
has posted two pictures from each church which
makes it extra easy for everyone to guess the right
answers. Please have a go - don’t let Benny down.
MOTHERS’ UNION
Five members with no local branch meet at each
other’s homes to share lunch, pray, and stay
informed about MU. They participate in projects to
help stabilise marriage and family life, and to support
each other in reaching out in their various
communities. Currently, they are involved with a
project giving disadvantaged young people an
adventure weekend at Horstead.
Anyone is very welcome to join (not just mothers).
Sometimes speakers give an insight into the work of
MU, which this year marks 140 years of faithful
service. Just call Eunice Norwood 01328 855665.
CREDO – BENEFICE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
GROUP
Established in Stibbard two years ago, members meet
on the first Thursday of every month (except in
August) at The Methodist Church Centre to share
lunch together and to get to know each other better.
Through interesting speakers, they have improved
their understanding of issues that can make life
difficult for many in today’s world.

WOOD NORTON VILLAGE HALL – SAT 30 JULY 10am
Along with a number of other villages, Wood Norton
has a new Defib. Just so you know, theirs is in the
phone box on the green. And the more people that
know how to use it the better. So the Community
Heart Beat Trust is explaining how the equipment
works and the benefits in saving precious minutes in
the treatment of sudden cardiac arrest. Everyone is
encouraged to attend; no special skills are required.
