Dear Tony,
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful job you did building my dining room table and bench. It is truly
a work of art and, as you promised, an instant heirloom. The woodwork and finish are beautiful. It warms
up the room and it’s just the right size for a city apartment. I’ve had friends over for dinners or lunch many
times since I brought the table home, and they never fail to complement me on it and ask where I got it. I’ve
never felt better about a furniture purchase.

Is there anyway to adequately thank you for the fantastic job you did with our magnificent table and chairs?
The 8-foot table which expands to 12 -feet is the centerpiece of our new kitchen/dining area and will be featured on “HGTV” next week on a show called, “I Want That Kitchen!” and we are very excited.
I’m so thrilled too, that we found those analine dyes for the primarily color chairs -- they go perfectly with
the unstained 200-year-old barn board table.
Now we need some side tables for the couches...I’ll be calling you in the next week.

Dear Tony,
Nice talking to you the other day. The table you built for us for the Broadway Musical, “Curtains,” starring
David Hyde-Pierce and Deb Monk has been so well received that the company has asked me to contact you
to have you build a duplicate for The Tony Awards broadcast on Sunday, June 10, 2007. As you know, The
Tony Awards are the highlight of the Broadway season and represent the highest honor that the theatrical
community can bestow on its members.
“Curtains,” has been nominated for 8 Awards this year and has been asked to perform the musical number,
“Show People,” from the show. Nothing less than the best will do for this event, and that’s why I am contacting you to replicate the wonderful table you did for the show. It will be a featured prop in the number on the
broadcast. As a reminder, the table was approximately 36” square with shaker legs and finished in a medium
chestnut brown. You made it look wonderfully aged without seeming to be fake or beat up. I don’t know how
you managed this trick, but it works great!
Thanks for your help. You’re a true craftsman! I look forward to seeing you this Sunday and getting the new
table.

The pieces Tony made for me are absolutely beautiful. I am a very visual person, a photographer, who appreciates quality--and the cabinets and bookshelves he created were above my expectations. The stains he
used complimented the colors of my floors and the finishing gave just the feel of “antique” that I was looking for. He has made four items for me and I love them all. I gave him rough drawings of what I wanted and
he turned these drawings into something more beautiful that I had imagined, at the same time adhering to the
dimensions that I requested.

I know I’ve said this to you in person, but I had to put it in writing. Thanks for all of your great work!!!
I was introduced to you by Edie Falco when I had the opportunity to design her home in New York. We
started with a small cabinet and have now completed over a dozen custom designs including a 12 foot long
dining table, a 10 foot wide desk with shelves that stretch up to eleven feet in the air, school house style
lockers, and her son Anderson’s favorite, a toy box with a squirrel cutout that he can reach his tiny hand
through.
I am only slightly embarrassed to accept the compliments I receive on these pieces which are only realized
through your effort, expert technique, and experienced eye.
I particularly appreciate the attention to the quality of the wood you choose and it’s finish.
It has been a pleasure to work with you, easy and fast to communicate, and always ends with the surprise of
a piece that is more beautiful than I had imagined.

Thanks so much for the gorgeous table. Its amazing and here’s a photo from my kitchen. Still need to find
the right chairs now, but I’m so pleased with the craftmanship and good taste that went into creating this. Its
more like a piece of elegant art than a table. Plus with the usage of recycled barn wood its especially precious on a number of levels. Thanks again!

We met Tony Garcia of Barntiques in 1999. At that time we commissioned him to build two desks and a
large bookcase. When the pieces arrived we were very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the
beauty of the barn wood. Since then we’ve acquired a total of six pieces for our home that include an entertainment unit, a seven foot red mirror and most recently a magnificent eight foot white pantry. Each piece
has it’s own unique quality and rustic beauty that make them so special and they each leave a remarkable
impression on every one who sees them. Tony’s work speaks for itself. We will continue to commission

We want to thank you so much for all the furniture you have made for us so far. No matter what part of the
house we are in, there is always something from you; bathroom vanities, tables, chests, living room and dining room furniture. We already have done so much and the list is still too long.
The passion you have with all that you make is felt in every piece. I also enjoy the collaboration with you in
executing all our drawings. And then at other times, you have the perfect piece when we come to visit you
in the city that we just have to have in our home.

We got the table on Saturday, and everything went smoothly. The table looks incredible! You did an amazing job with it. It has such character and style. You really captured the ‘aged’ feeling I was looking for.
Also, your timing, your follow-up and reliabilty were outstanding, including the efficiency and friendliness

Some questions for my own interest:
What kind of wood is it? Do you know where/when the wood is from? (I love knowing background informaton.)
There is a possiblity I may use the table in a different room from the one I had originally intended. In that
case, I would want the color of the table to be a little different -- more like a ‘honey’ color. Can I have that
done on a local basis in terms of re-staining, and have it still look good, in your opinion?
